Hi all,

I've done quite a bit of modding to my WWE 13 now (models replaced, attires added, Holloywood Hogan entrance added, etc.) and now I've just discovered that I seem to have somehow broken story mode.

Whether you select 'New' or 'Edit' from the menu, the game freezes on the loading screen (WWE logo stops spinning) yet bizarrely it doesn't trigger an Xbox 'Fatal Crash' reset back to FSD.

Before I go through the painful task of experimenting with different mods enabled or not in order to discover what is causing this, has anyone else had this problem who can tell me straight away what has caused it?

Thanks

Have you done anything with any of the DLC? I tried modding some stuff in the third pack and I know that's what causes CAW Mode to not work for me. Switching it out with the original DLC file is all it takes to fix the problem. Fortunately, I can't say I've had anything like that happen with Story Designer. Boy, would I be screwed there...

But, yeah. If you haven't, then it's going to be a case of having to test out each thing to see what's caused it.

Tell me about it! I put all these mods in specifically so that I would have more CAWs available in storylines!

Hmm, the only thing I've altered is the misc.pac in dlc 3 - think that could have something to do with it?

Is your xex file patched with TU1? It was supposed to fix all kinds of freezing and stuff. Probably not your problem, but I thought I'd ask since it might fix your problem

If you have a backup of the original DLC file then that'd be the best place for you to start, seeing as modifying it caused something similar for me.

I can't use the TU at all - if I enable it through FSD the game gets stuck in a never ending loading cycle before it even hits the title screen

I've just deleted the DLC and story mode works fine now, so it looks like it was caused by something I must have done with the misc.pac

I'm going to have a go at 'adding' one or two new attires to the original misc.pac dlc and give story mode another test

Thanks both

Yeah I had the same trouble with modding anything in dlc 3. As soon as a cutscene would appear in Universe mode the game locks up.

It seems really weird that the attires work - I tested everything I added - but then it breaks the story mode?!

I'll just have to be a little tactical and add multi-attire wrestlers over existing multi-attire wrestlers...
