best in the world Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 I liked the Breaking Point submission system, but it had issues. The first and foremost being it was too easy. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to play an online match and kick someone's ass bell to bell only to have them cheat with an easy submission win. Maybe I'm old school, but I think the submission system should be more damage based meaning you have to work over your opponent before you can make them submit. Which is a great reason why No Mercy on n64 was so fun and realistic. Also, I think 2K should implement a good reversal for finishing submissions. I like the idea of being able to automatically escape a submission move if you have a finisher stored. That would be unique and make the match more realistic and fun to play. Selling is another great aspect of submission wrestling which again, is where No Mercy excelled. If you worked an opponent over, they appropriately sold the damaged limb and that is very lifelike and makes the experience look real. UnderTaker1784 Posted June 29, 2013 Share Posted June 29, 2013 we should have a new superstar threads for the standard roster in which you can pick and choose items of clothing/hair styles/trons/entrances & music as well as slight alterations in body types. The difference being that they only allow attires, clothing, body types and hairstyles that the superstar has had in the past. So for the undertaker, you can go ahead and choose his ministry attire, hair, music etc or his current stuff, or biker-taker. Whatever. This would reduce duplicates and allow everyone to have in their game their preferred version of the character. Another example is selecting chris jericho and select hair and have all of chris jericho's hairstyle's and only chris jericho's past and present hair styles will show up and we can assign which we would like, same thing for clothing and attire it would be like my idea for advanced superstar editor only Im keeping it as the superstar threads we already have but adding more options for each individual superstars past and presnt attires, hairstyles, facial style, body style etc and so for each attire yiu can have an entirely different genertaion of that superstar also elimminating the need to wait a roster spot, u will even have another option and that option is to have another entrance, trons and music for each specific attire, so if you want jericho's old school entrance from 99-2000 for one attire and his entrance now for another u can, and also have a clone feature so u dont have to customise every attire entrance if you don't want to and can clone entrance from 1 attire to another, which would be really sweet, also in the entrance modes for superstar threads for each wrestler you will only have options pertaining to that specific superstars present and past. IE the roaming ability of the older SVR games, the branching storylines concept from Just Bring It, and then new custom options. There also should be the option to use either WWE Superstars or created wrestlers. Each path for whichever person you choose should vary based on ally/enemy systems and also what decisions you make. I'd also like to see smart systems put into the engine to the point of the game noticing patterns in behavior and determining whether you are heel or face just based off of decisions you make and whether those actions are good or bad. So if you are attacking beloved superstars with hostility and always making heelish decisions and cheating to win, you would obviously be heel. And on the flip side if you make babyface decisions and help allies and such, then you are cheered based on those actions. I'd like to see the length of career mode to be extended possibly somehow merging it into your universe mode once the career mode section is 100% completed. For the submission system, they could to add something to make it more interesting. But now it´s a lot better than past years.
