Burning CDs (Help Needed)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I really need some help. I finally bought a hard drive so I thought I'd try burning some CDs to get entrance themes, so I burned a CD-R disc on my laptop (I burned 25 mp3 songs, 70 minutes) and I inserted it into my Xbox. But it just showed up as 'Mixed Media Disc'. Can anyone give me a solution? Otherwise buying the hard drive would've just been a waste.

Are you sure that the disc you burned was a CD because if it said 'Mixed Media Disc' it's most likely a DVD that you inserted/burned. Believe me, i tried DVD a couple times already and they always respond with 'Mixed Media Disc'.

Also i'm using media share now, but i suggest you to burn it with iTunes! :)

Well if you want to burn a CD you will need:

1 CD

1 Match lol

I know how that feel, I had the same problem

I used Windows Media Player to burn it, I'm 100% sure it's a CD. On the disc it says, 'Verbatim' 'CD-R' 'Compact Disc Recordable' '700MB Mo' '52x speed vitesse' '80min'.

Here is the disc I used:

What kind of discs have you guys used and it worked?

1 thing for sure: it never works for iTunes.

Try to burn it again

I did, I formatted the disc so that everything on the disc was deleted and then I re-burned it. It still showed up as mixed media discs, what discs have you used before? And what program do you use to burn your discs? I'm gonna try to burn it with Nero.

I Really Find With Them Discs No Matter What I Get Them To Rip On My Xbox, I Can Play Not Rip!

So What I Did Is

i) Got The Video

ii)Downloaded It Myself

iii)Converted It To mp3

iv)Burned On Disc

v)Played All Songs On Xbox

vi)Ripped And It Worked!

Website For Converting: http://www.flvto.com/ But Make Sure You Get There App For Laptop Which Should Come Up!

I'm gonna try it with Nero, I've ran out of CDs so I'll buy some more soon and I'll let you guys know whether it worked or not.

I haven't tried it yet but I think I know what went wrong, with windows media player I burned 53 songs (over 80 minutes) which is over the 80 minute limit. So because it was over 80 minutes I think the Xbox recognised it as a DVD and a CD which makes it mixed media.

LOL, the only thing that I ever do is:

1) Pick a CD-RW

2) Select the Theme

3) Play them on Windows Media Player

4) Select Windows Media Player own "Burn" tool

5) Done

I always burn mine with iTunes.. Never had any problems when I used my WMP to burn tho.. Might be the length.. And yea, CD-RW is ALWAYS the best way to go..
