Good News Ps3 Servers Are Back

The matches work perfectly fine, and even the CC is.......ok, but I still can't download some textures, dunno why

EDIT: Half of the textures that I uploaded are gone!I had 5 sides full of textures, now it's only 2!

BTW; am I the only one that hopes for an update where the title in Game is changed from "WWE 13" to "WWE 2K13"?

Seems only matches with in-game superstars or DLC characters is working. Matches with caws stall out after picking a caw for your superstar.

This AM at 6:45 EST, it was working somewhat. Got to news feed on very first attempt. Searched twice, second time yielded results, upon trying to DL, it filled to about 75%, then kicked me after 10 minutes.

Hasn't worked since. I'd assume the old servers are still in service, or the new ones are still having transferring done.

Once I hear from Muss, and we decide what to do next, when we have something to add, we'll alert this thread.

But How come certain guys can get online in WWE'13 and most guys cannot. like The Admin in a vid on youtube said he can't even get to the online main menu. but last night i got on, and i thought the troubles were over i wanted to download a caw and it would not let me.

How Complicated is this thing?

They're trying atleast, while those b*tches from THQ didn't give a sh*t about the game, remember, the latest patch this game is on is the day-one patch...

Stingertap & myself have been in constant contact with 2k from various phone calls and etc etc so as soon as we have anything more concrete to pass along about it we will do so.... but at least they are more forth coming and so forth with addressing the issues so in the meantime I'd say just keep trying and maybe mix it up when you try accessing as some might get better success during off peek Hrs when kids are not home or when they might be sleeping as the servers are touch and go. Sometimes you get on, sometimes not and sometimes when it kicks you off it's only back to the news feed so it's a slow progress but is better then where it was weeks prior

I can only echo what Muss just said. We've been in constant contact with 2K pretty much every day for a week now, trying to get answers from people, and update you. As of right now, there is no real update. It is what it is. For every real tidbit of info we get, like the new server move, we get the run around from others, stating that it's just simple connection issues and that you should try opening up ports on your router. In doing that, it requires disabling your router security. So, it seems there's setbacks around every corner.

I don't really get the hush that surrounds this game franchise, no matter who has it. It's like everything about it is one huge secret and must remain so until their choosing.

That said, I know I'll be taking a few days off of the subject and try and get my caws lined up and ready for when it finally does come back. When either of us has any real info to update with, we will. I got a vacation for the summer, I'm putting it to good use!lol

Cause you gotta take into account not only where people live, but what time they're on it aswell. Makes a difference.

Also, if they are transferring, just think of all the creations that have to be moved in parts? There has to be somewhere in the high hundred millions. Not only that, they've got to move the online program itself to the servers. Then they all have to be tested, and have to be proven to work. It's a multistep process. could take another 4 weeks.

My guess as to what's going on, is they've left the old servers online and are slowly draining connection so people won't be on it alot when the transfer happens. I'm sure they've also have things backed up aswell. They're probably in the phase of getting the online program on the new servers and testing it to see how and if it works. then transfer of caws will happen, and then the final in-house test, then the switch. I hate to say they could be down another month or so, but they very well could be depending on what they find and run into to fix.

I think you pretty much summed everything up to this point. With it being Memorial Day Weekend this week I expect nobody will get on it much as there's going to be a mad dash from kids off of school etc etc etc straining the current servers even more so. Not to beat a dead horse but just try at whenever you think it might be slowest and be patient.... Best of luck and should we get something more we'll pass it along Happy gaming

I will wait to pass judgment on 2K until we see how well the servers function on wwe2k14. THQ were lazy in a lot of areas and the servers were no exception. Quite honestly, I'm surprised 2K have let the old THQ servers remain this long with the release of wwe2k14 being fairly close. If wrestling game fans associate 2K sports with those shitty servers, no one will want to buy the new product. Especially if we are getting more of the same. Hopefully, they will change their new servers for the better and there will be no glitches, time will tell I suppose.

11:55 am : Let me on to CC options screen (Download or Upload) on first try. Newsfeed had unavailable message. Waited the simple What's Hot page to load. No search whatsover yet. Kicked to newsfeed after 5 minutes.

Rate of connection to atleast the newsfeed has gotten better. Hope it continues.

Ok. Servers are back! Very fast searches, loads to newsfeed (100% of the time now for me) almost every time. Still can't download, as it stalls @ 90% for a few minutes. then kicks you out to newsfeed.

Improvement. Hopefully downloading and uploading will be back late tonight or tomorrow.
