UndertakerWLF Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Finally got round to texture modding WWE13, I'm going to try and make more classic attires for the Attitude roster, 1st up is the 123 Kid this is only a WIP and is not yet finished. Update 3 - Bandana added Update 2 - No facial hair Special thanks to Brienj for his new archiver application Edited April 10, 2013 by UndertakerWLF Quote
brienj Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 YES, I am so glad I released the tool. I was sooo tired of coming here, and all that was being posted, was render bullshit ... More mods are finally going to come out. Quote
jcsix Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Very nice! Nothing comes to my mind which can be improved really (apart from the obvious facial hair being removed). Quote
Miztah Raza Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Looks awesome Taker Yea, the facial hair is the only thing that needs removing. But you do need to add that head-band/bandana thingy, lol. Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Thanks guys, at the moment it's a WIP so theres more yet to be done on it. I'll be looking for the hair later to remove it, bandana is in the works also :)2 Quote
Ahmed Fahmy Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Very nice man .. i was wondering if you could Tell me how the view the 3d Model of the pac file Without test it in the game Quote
OverTheEdge Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) You use 3ds Max (either versions 2009, 2010, or 2011) and brien's plugin. Edited April 9, 2013 by OverTheEdge Quote
Miztah Raza Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Very nice man .. i was wondering if you could Tell me how the view the 3d Model of the pac file Without test it in the game I was wondering if you could READ without me having to TELL YOU to do so. But, meh, you're probably not capable of that Quote
brienj Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 You use 3ds Max (either versions 2009, 2010, or 2011) and brien's plugin. Yeah, I actually have to fix the readme for that too, because I found out 3DS Max 9 is NOT the 2009 version, so that plugin is actually for 3DS Max 9, not 2009. I can of course make different versions, but not a single person has hooked me up with the SDK from any other version ... Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 I seem to have hit a brick wall with the alpha channel, the last time I modded was during SVR2011 and the alpha channel was always present and as such very easy to block out any textures you did'nt want showing. However having moved to WWE13 there seems to be no alpha which is in itself odd since textures must have an alpha right? The image below is Photoshop with the original non modded DDS file loaded, as you can see there is the R,G and B channels but no Alpha? Now if I switch to an application called DXTBMP it shows the same DDS file with a completely plain white Alpha channel Now either DXTBMP is generating this alpha automatically or Photoshop is'nt picking up the Alpha channel... Any ideas people? I don't normally ask for help but this has got me confused lol. Quote
jcsix Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I noticed that. And for some strange reason, if I just click save in PS without changing the save option (even if its right from previous saving) it will create an alpha layer and make the texture quality worse. I have to click the drop down box, then select the option again for it to save without one like the default WWE 13 file. There is an alpha layer on the normal.dds however. Quote
IamPayne Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I believe that the alpha is in the normal.dds Quote
Judders Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 YES, I am so glad I released the tool. I was sooo tired of coming here, and all that was being posted, was render bullshit ...
