Miz_fit Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I doubt it, John Cena may deserve to be on the cover, but he won't look good for older audiences to introduce. You put Cena on a cover of something you'll probably get 9 & 10 years olds buying it (which is sad in my oppinion). If they wanted to introduce older gamers and give a guy credit to what he's done in the last couple of years then I would put Chris Jericho. But I do agreewith you, Cena is one of the greatest wrestlers in the wwe. Quote
delete Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I doubt that people will decide whether to buy the game or not judging by the cover. Quote
Zigzag5™ Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 It Would Be Ten Times Better If They Had All The Superstars On It, Like The Royal Rumble 2010 Poster, With The Tagline: The Future Is Now Quote

Zigzag5™ Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) Yeah, Maybe Have Cena, Rock, Stone Cold And CM Punk On There With The Then Now Forever Tagline? Edited April 12, 2013 by Zigzag5 Quote
Miz_fit Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 You mean the Now, Then, Forever tagline. Yeah I think that would be good aswell, put they wouldn't put it, and they would have alot of reasons not to. I am not saying the cover is bad (infact the cover looks good, well the one smacktalks put up is good, don't know about the official one though) but the wrong guy is on there. Quote
Zigzag5™ Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Yeah, They Probably Wouldn't, With PG And All Stone Cold Doesn't Really Fit, Which Is Why He Doesn't Really Make Appearances At Big PPVS Now.( He Was Absent At This Years WM, WM XXVIII, Every Royal Rumble Since 2001, Every Summerslam Since 07, And Every Survivor Series Since 03.) Quote
delete Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Realistically I think we'll see John Cena on the cover now, it doesn't make sense that The Rock is on the cover. He isn't the WWE Chanpion and he'll probably leave once he's had his rematch (If he invokes his rematch clause). If it's not John Cena then it could be Ryback. Quote
Miz_fit Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 John Cena will probably be on the wrestlemania edition of wwe 14, if anybody played wwe 12, when rock beat cena at wm 28 the rock was put on the cover of wwe 12 wrestlemania edition it was meant to be cena but he lost the match (if you don't believe me or want to know more, check wikipedia). Since cena won the match at wm 29, he will have to be on the cover. Quote

Miz_fit Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 No, there was a Rock edition of wwe 12, and a wrestlemania edition of wwe 12. Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) I doubt that people will decide whether to buy the game or not judging by the cover. Why do people buy stuff just because it costs (for example) 39,99$ and not 40,00$? Trust me, people buy stuff (and mostly games) for much more reasons than just the cover Edit:Of course, Hardcore fans will buy the game regardless, but someone who just looks for a cool game would rather buy a game with badass hollywood Star Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, than kiddie star John Cena. Miz_fit Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I guess you have a point, but if you put yourself into John Cena's shoes, how would you feel if you wrestled each week on raw and 12 PPV a year and didn't get yourself on the cover, but the person that did was someone who barely wrestles in the wwe and you beat him for the wwe championship at wm 29? Never said it is fair,LOL,marketing is not fair, but you're right, it's not Cena's fault he's a kids' Hero... Edited April 13, 2013 by BrotchMrToast Quote
Miz_fit Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 That's got to be the worst thing about John Cena, and personally, I don't think John Cena wanted to be a kids hero when he debuted. If he ever turned heel, it would probably make him be able to get o more cover and be liked by older audiences. Another sad thing is when Nazza said "WWE doesn't care about Smackdown" this is awfully true. I personally think Smackdown is a better show then Raw since you see better wrestling. Raw is just full of guys talking crap. Thats probably why there was a game called "Smackdown Shut Your Mouth!" Somebody on Smackdown should be on the cover. Quote

Miz_fit Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 If you don't care about the cover of wwe 14, then it proves your not a wwe fan. Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 If you don't care about the cover of wwe 14, then it proves your not a wwe fan. Not quite, lol, but it proves you don't care about detail. Quote
Miz_fit Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 It proves both of those things, but mostly what BotchMrToast said. Quote
Zigzag5™ Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 It proves both of those things, but mostly what BotchMrToast said. Exactly. And to everyone who's moaning saying who cares about the cover, everyone's still gonna buy it. Oh, and IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO'S ON THE COVER! It's just an added detail that improves sales. That's the only reason we're talking about it so much. Quote
