WWE 2K14 Cover Star Announced!

Stephanie McMahon announced earlier today on Twitter that The Rock will be the cover star of WWE 2K14.

This is the first time The Rock has been featured as the main cover star since Smackdown Just Bring It on the PlayStation 2, although he did have his own special edition cover for the WWE '12 People's Edition.

I just shed a tear, THE ROCK?!? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? A man who's not even going to be here in 2 years and they chose The goddamn Rock! For the first 2K WWE game I think they should've picked John Cena to be on the front cover, obviously some people are going to call me stupid for choosing Cena over The Rock but that's just my personal opinion.

Edit: There's a special edition version? I want either John Cena or CM Punk, they're the only superstars in my opinion that have excelled in the past year.

I can understand why you say Cena Nazza, I think he's gonna have a big year following WrestleMania but I think The Rock was an obvious choice as if they're still trying to attract older gamers back to the series then he's instantly recognisable.

I guess so, I wonder which superstar will headline the special edition cover. I'm pretty sure that it won't be a Smackdown superstar as WWE don't even care about that show.

Maybe next year or in 2 years, I think he'll have one more title run in the WWE before he is completely used to make the younger stars look good. I think John Cena will be on next years cover.

As much as it hurts to say, Jericho would be a bad choice, I can understand Cena, hell, I can even understand the Rock.It's hard to explain, but Jericho is the kinda guy that likes to give younger superstars the spotlight, with him feuding with Fandango at the moment I just don't see him beeing on the cover...yet.

Damn all that for a cover, call me crazy but I am more concerned about the product under the cover, in the case which is on the disc itself rather then the cover which I never look at after I open it xD

i understand their decision of putting the rock and at the least it show us that maybe he should be at summerslam or survivor series

although if i could choose it would be ziggler or jericho but the rock is still a good option

but on subject I watched the rocks matches since his wwf debut im 23 now and to this very day im not surprised the put him in the cover for wwe 2k14 ...he was on the cover of just bring it! and Shut your mouth as main cover superstar now he's on wwe 2k14...like i said no surprise ..the special edition will probably have the universe edition (concept name for edition) which will contain on the picture ...ziggler bryan kane cody sheamus orton bigshow cena and punk

With all the other superstars to chose from why the rock?

No don't get me wrong, The Rock is probably the greatest superstar in the wwe (along with Stone Cold Steve Austin), but I don't think he deserves to be o the cover page.

First off all, he doesn't deserve that WWE Championship (he lost it to Cena at Wrestlemania 29 but you get the picture), being a favrouite of the chairman, he got a shot at CM Punk's title mid last year and won due to him having a 6 month break and CM Punk having endless battles with John Cena and Ryback, and claiming victorious on all ocassions.

Second of all, there have been numerous superstas who deserve to be on the cover of WWE 2K14. But as usual, the designer picked who would look good on the cover instead of who should deserve to be on there. I am not a huge fanof him but CM Punk deserves to be on the cover but he was on there last year so it wouldn't be fair.

There have been 3 superstars I really think do deserve to be on the cover though. First is John Cena, he had a great run in 2012 and 2013 didn't start off to bad either, with one unfortunat loss to a very good shield.

Another superstar who I think (and want) to be on the cover is Sheamus. 2012 and 2013 have been pretty good for him so I am really surprised he didn't get picked.

Ryback also deserves to be on the cover, he was undefeated and can easily win the wwe championship because of his dominace and Brock Lesnar/Goldberg gimmick and strengh.

Other superstars who deserve to be on here:

Alberto Del Rio

The Shield

The Miz

Randy Orton

The Undertaker

Wade Barret

Kofi Kingston

Dolph Ziggler

Chris Jericho (espically)

P.S : I there is a special edition (like nazza said) then one of the guys I have said here should be on there. Putting a guy on there who will leave WWE in a few months was a bad (and pretty stupid choice).

I'm fine with The Rock being on the cover. Just it doesn't make that much sense considering he lost the title at Wrestlemania and I'm not sure if he's still gonna be active on the show as much. The Rock is too busy making MILLIONS of dollars so I'm not as hyped as I was when I was younger.

This isn't the official cover so I doubt he'll still be on the cover, and he lost the title so realistically I think John Cena will be on the cover. If that happens then that's a good thing, he's the face of the WWE, he's the first person to win the new WWE Championship, he's one of the greatest superstars in WWE (Whether you like him or not you have to admit it). It would be a smart move for him to be on the cover.
