You took that out of proportion bro I never said I hated or thought it was a bad program what I meant was the way he hyped it up I thought it was always gonna work and people would be able to enjoy it,No doubt the program is amazing but he could have mentioned the program ran off a server and and at any time he could shut the server off and we couldn't use it especially if it was gonna be down for this long alot of people have stopped modding because the program doesn't work .

360 Haven is not reliable anyway. It doesn't even accept my login anymore. I've been off for months because I got bored with the whole WWE13 modding thing but I should be able to connect on any website I registered whenever I want.

Why just not make programs that works without having to login to a website??!!

I'm not sure I understand how that makes the site unreliable. Sure, the whole inactive member deal is annoying, but it's well known about around here and really not that hard to login once every month or so and make a few posts. You said yourself that you were the one who got complacent and stopped going there. I don't see how that's any fault of theirs.

When you register on a website, you don't have to post BS once a month to stay registered.

I do kinda see where koolgus is coming from. I find myself asking the question why would brienj take the time to create such an awesome programme then disable it completely after a few weeks, and I just can't come up with an answer except he must have his reasons.

It would be like if I removed the d/l links to all the mods I released. Which I just wouldn't do even though I have since improved some and CBA to re upload I still wouldn't remove something I released (even though I have to pay over at photobucket every month just to keep the screens up).

I was thinking if its a server problem im guessing he would probably have to pay for a new1 and since the prog is free he might not want to. personally i'd be happy to pay a donation for it if it would help getting it bak up. i had no probs paying over at xentax for his 3dsmax plugin. But hey it's his prog, he made it he can do with it as he pleases.

Also he did come on here posting in a lot of modders threads recommending they use the pac archiver. Result of that is now a dead wwe13 mod scene as we're all stuck with Zl files that can no longer be edited.

As I said in my previous post I just don't understand it, and he MUST have his reasons. Just a pity he wont even share them.

I don't see this kind of drama for any other modded games... but wrestling games are doomed it seems......

The tv product has been garbage for the last 10 years unless you're 13 years old and the rest of us sadly hope evey year that THE next game is going to make a difference... at last.

And when it happens that after years of waiting, it starts to be fun thanks to mods... well...

Most reliabile tool to use for modding superstar is Xpacker ,its been working for a long time and still work properly.

But Brienj tool was so eazy to work with and there was so much possibilities , it was crazy .... .

and i miss this fucking tool and yes i would pay for it on the spot and i hope Brienj come back with something to fix this

if not we should all get together, put all the money we willing to pay for the tool in a fucking bucket ,

find his ass , kidnap him , sit his little naked ass on a chair , plug him to the laptop and make him fix that fuuuucking login buuuullshit.

If any1 has any programming knowledge and time they should try doing something with quick bms. I'm sure this has the power to do what pac archiver can. It can already extract most pac files perfectly fine, and has a reimport feature but I can't get that to work, I think it needs some tweaking.

i don't get it, i'm pretty new to these forums (only joined this year). Why exactly did he create a login requirement, what were people doing?

 

 

So he could stop the morons from using it, it's alot easier to restrict access to an application when you have a login feature check the IP and ban it

 

Personally I don't blame Brienj for taking a break, there are way too many assholes on the forums just using him for his applications, people don't realise that he has an outside life...and also not realising how much actually goes into creating the apps he created.

 

Brienj being away is actually a good thing, it means people will at last try and figure out how to do hack/mod the game without the need for fancy apps and also Brienj can have a break from the assholes who constanlty plague him with simple answers to topics that have been answered a million times before.

tbh i thought his reason for creating a login requirement was to stop unauthorised people sharing his program and taking credit for it at places like 360iso (i read that somewhere). I was also reading a thread a few months back and he swore he never ip banned any1 and I believe him because it does seem a little pointless, some one was accusing him of doing it (can't remember who).

 

Also creating a program with a login interface with the sole purpose of ip banning certain people is more hard work than it's worth, if you wanted only certain people to use it you would just password protect the download and only give the password to those select few people.

 

That's what i would do anyway i wouldn't publicly release a program and then try to ip ban everyone i disliked... too much hard work. Plus think about it, how would he know whose ip he was banning? unless the person signed up with the exact same username they use on the forums he wouldn't know for sure which ip was which, either that or if he was a forum moderator.

 

From reading comments on the official support thread the program didn't work for a lot of people, I doubt brienj knew them at all so i'm sure he didn't ban them.
