I was concentrating on putting a lock on the textures, so people can release their mods without fear of certain people stealing the textures and using them and re-releasing as their own. However, I made the mistake of already releasing a program that can open the files. So far, these people have not been smart enough to actually realize that, and I myself totally didn't think about it until today. So there is no point in me adding the locking mechanism, as it won't do any good. I am going to streamline the PAC Archiver, by removing the model previewer (no need for it, and is a waste of resources), removing the 3DS file exporter (is also a waste of resources since I've made the plugin now), and going to put in the final error catching in the program that needs added. After I finish that, I will finally release it. It will either be today or tomorrow, more than likely, as I remember there is no reason to hold it up any longer. If you don't want your mods stolen or turned into other crap mods, then all I can say is just don't release your mods. I don't blame anyone for not sharing their mods, as there are too many people that either outright steal the stuff and pawn it off as their own, or that create horrible mods from your mod that was great to begin with. I'm sorry I can't stop this, so just be careful with what you release. Quote

If some take credit for my mods.... too bad, but I hope that there will be more honest people happy to use them than stupid bragging bastards. I don't want to prevent 100 people to use them honestly because of a couple of pricks. Anyway, I make them for fun and to make the game even more enjoyable, not for fame. Like you said, if you choose to put them out there, you know the possibilities--regardless of how shitty they may potentially be.
