For the 100th time, you must replace the file with a hex editor, and NOT using LeFluffie, THEN you can resign the DLC in LeFluffie after you have properly replaced it. BTW, with my new tool, I'll add an export/import function for some of the files in DLC, like the misc.pac file, so you don't have to do it manually with a hex editor anymore. OverTheEdge Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Was just about to answer that. Glad I refreshed and saw you already did first. But, yeah. Like brienj said, LeFluffie doesn't rebuild it correctly. You need to bring the DLC file into a hex editor and do it from there--then you bring it into LeFluffie and do the fix. If you're editing the misc.pac, you'd need to use a hex editor anyway, so it'd actually be simpler this way. brienj Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Ok that's what I did misc to hex save then Back to la fluffie rebuild Then you are doing it wrong. I suggest that you actually do the changes to the misc.pac while it is still inside of the DLC container. Just open the original DLC3 (start over, you may have already messed it up), and input your info directly into DLC3, then fix it with LeFluffie. Quote

OverTheEdge Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 You don't extract the misc.pac at all. You use a hex editor to edit it in the main DLC file. Just open the DLC file and find it in and edit it in there. Then you bring it into LeFluffie, only to fix it. Quote

OverTheEdge Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) After explaining it four more times via PM, I think I may have finally gotten through. Hopefully. I don't mind helping, in fact I'm glad to--especially in the rare instances that I actually can, but come on. Everyone does have to start somewhere. Hell, not too long ago I'm sure you felt that same way with me trying to figure out that audience.pac business. Edited January 17, 2013 by OverTheEdge Quote

OverTheEdge Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is this the same program with the really gay looking wolf or no? That'd be the one. Quote
OverTheEdge Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Yeah, I've always gone with Modio in the past myself--that is outside anything of brienj's. Quote
brienj Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is this the same program with the really gay looking wolf or no? Yeah, it's one thing to be a Furry if that's what you are into I guess, but to like advertise it in your app, well, I'll just stop there. LOL Quote
HotavioH Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I discovered Horizon... It's very fast, good, and easy to use too Quote
Miztah Raza Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 That shit was fucking disgusting, not to mention it didn't even work. -_- I use CONcept to rehash and resign everything, because apart from Brien's rehasher, it's the most reliable R&R'rI've ever used! I would use Brien's but I just don't really use the CAW Editor much because I'm so busy with modding, lol Quote
Miztah Raza Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Yeah I do the same. Right on, breddah Quote
brienj Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Order of resigners/rehashers: #1 My unreleased resigner #2 CAW Editor #3 LeFluffie (but don't rebuild Live packages with it, use XLAST) #4 CONcept #5 Modio #1000 Horizon This list is for the most commonly used tools, and of course I may be biased, although mine is the only popular/common one that actually resigns "correctly", LeFluffie comes close. And for anyone that doesn't believe me. Take a WWE13 save, load it in LeFluffie and Verify the hashing. It will say the last one is False. Now resign the save in LeFluffie, the last hash will now show True, even though it isn't the correct standard hash that is produced on the Xbox. Sure, the save will work, but it doesn't resign like the Xbox does, which my tool I think is the only released one that actually resigns/rehashes the saves like it does on the Xbox. You can do this for any resigner/rehasher, they will all produce the last hash as True in LeFluffie, whereas mine will produce a "False" hash, and be exactly like the saves you take off your Xbox. But Brien, why does this matter, if the save "works" on the Xbox even if it isn't signed the same? This just proves my resigner is the ONLY one that mimics the resigning/rehashing function of the Xbox 360, EXACTLY the same, and has the actual exact same functions as in the kernel of the 360. OverTheEdge Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I wouldn't say biased at all. Yours have always been great. Add in the IDs once and it's one or two clicks and you're done. I've never had a single problem with any of yours. Quote
brienj Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) And before i get myself in trouble, I should mention that by saying it's the exact same function, I mean that I reversed it correctly to exactly mimic the function. Not saying I am using the exact code from the kernel ... Just had to mention this to prevent any lawsuits ... Edited January 19, 2013 by brienj Quote
