PS3 Textures

I'm having some trouble understanding some things so I was wondering if someone could help me, because this is my first time back to WWE games since day of reckoning, and I realized a lot has changed, so I wanted to try learning on how all this works.

My question was, if someone could help me by telling me how these hacked textures work? Like i have read many forums but I'm still confused of what is required to import these textures into a PS3, because all I could find was people using their Xboxs in order to import CAS and Titantrons and so on.
