Faarooq NOD and Ahmed Johnson MOD

Here are the download links for the pac files.

You'll have to replace an existing ingame wrestler of your choice.

The textures have been polished since I took the pics.

It's not perfect but looks pretty damn good ingame. Can't do much more without tweaking the model.

Ahmed

And as little bonus, a way better looking Helmsley

The proportions and shapes are not exactly correct but since we can't tweak the models like in 2011... that's all I can do.

Don't forget to give credit

Those are great. Whose model did you use for Ahmed? Maybe a bit more highlights / shading on the top part of Farooqs singlet might make it look less painted on. But brilliant work so far :)

For Ahmed I used Ezequiel from wwe12.

For Faarooq top singlet you might be right but in game it looks quiet different and shine ok.

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Need that Faarooq in my game lol, that is epic. Can you give these mods entrance gear as well or is that a bridge too far?

looking good.. you need to edit the normal.dds to give the models some depth..

You posted this in the wrong place.. moved..

WWE12 models can be used i found a bypass for the texture error but the lighting error is still their..

Yeah, when I see painted on attire, it makes me cringe when they don't even fix the normals at least. Hopefully when I release all my stuff, this can be improved upon, and the straps can be given depth on the model, but editing the normals at least, which can be done now, should be enough.

Same here. You can even adjust the alpha layer in the normal to fix how shiny a part is. I'm definitely looking forward to what you've got on the way, though.

Wow really nice ,do you have NOD godfather in mind

I always edit diffuse, normalsans specular. It`s my job since I am a 3D artist in a videogame company.

It might be not obvious on the pics but it is in game.

NOD godfather is already done and I fixed the horrible HHH body and face texture.

I am working on a decent Owen Hart since all the caw are terrible.

His top looks totally painted on. Just what I can see from the screens. Whether a screenshot or not, it wouldn't look painted on, if it was done right. Not trying to be a dick, only trying to help people improve their mods, as I wouldn't even think about installing this, in the current state it is ...

It's still clothes not 2 inches metal shell, you're not supposed to see the depht from that far since it's not a 3D mesh.

Don't tell me that 'it wouldn't look painted on, if it was done right' cos you have no choice other that follow the body mesh, unfortunatly.

So it will always look painted on like it or not. Thank you for ' trying to help people improve their mods' Brienj but as I said I work as a 3D artist and believe me, I know waht a normal map is. By the way, look at Ahmed thights pads, you can clearly see the normal and spec work.

I did the same for Faarooq but again, it's textile not thick pads.

Not trying to be a dick, just making my point...

Thats all good mate but it does look painted on and thats not a negitive comment on your work

I have had the same thing happen with some of my mods

And yes their is a limit to what you can do without editing the model but some people like to see the cut of the attires.. It just gives depth and looks better..

I will hold jugment till i get to play with your mod in game to see for myself..

I understand all this bro and I like Brienj a lot for all he's done and for all is still doing for us to enjoy the game. It's just the way he says things but.. hey.. it's the way he is, gotta love that guy :) No offense taken guys.

I agree with you and I will re work on Faarooq as soon as possible. I miss what we were able to do in 2011, editing meshes, importing previous models... you were always able to find the shape that suit to the wrestler you wantto make.

If we can just edit the wwe12 and 13 models it would be cool.

Peace

And thank you for the feedbacks :)

Well, when I add mesh modifying to my tool finally, it's been a long process, and I release it, since you say you can make it look better if you could modify the model, I expect that, ok? ;)

And yes, I do understand that sometimes you can't modify it quite enough without modifying the mesh, so maybe after you can modify the mesh, I might like it more. ;)

nsieniski, any chance that you might take up the work brien's abandoned and finish the tools he planned to release relating to exporting models? You obviously know quite a bit about models as a 3D artist and likely work with others who would have the requisite knowledge.
