Smacktalks Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Following the announcement of the Stone Cold Steve Austin Collector's Edition earlier this week, we now have details on it's availability and pricing. In the US the Collector's Edition is exclusive to shopTHQ, priced at $79.99. The regular edition is also available and is priced at $59.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360, or $49.99 on Wii. In the UK the Collector's Edition is exclusive to Game.co.uk and is priced at £64.99, £25 more than the regular PS3 / Xbox 360 edition at £39.99 (Wii price is £29.99). In Germany GameStop.de exclusively have the Collector's Edition for 79.99 euros, but only have the regular edition on Wii for 39.99. Instead of the regular edition on PS3 and Xbox 360 there is a German "First Edition" which features the Mike Tyson Pre-Order DLC, the Stone Cold DLC from the Collector's Edition and an exclusive CM Punk Ice Cream T-Shirt attire (Video Above). In some other WWE '13, Cory Ledesma announced on Twitter that WWE '13 will feature a main menu soundtrack that will include the theme from the CM Punk trailer, Revolution by Pennywise. Deleted Member Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I'm not sure many folks are going to Pay 80+ dollars just for the collectors addition to get Austin when he will probably be added to the games future DLC packs per the norm and if not you can bet people will make him anyhow especially with Both PS3 and Xbox finally getting the same 64 layers that were previously a Xbox only exclusive to the last few titles. Smacktalks Posted July 19, 2012 Author Posted July 19, 2012 I'm wondering why Germany has all the available DLC and more in the First Edition when the rest of the world have to fork out for the Collectors Edition to get the Stone Cold DLC. Hopefully they release details on similar editions for other countries soon. Quote
brento Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 "In the US the Collector's Edition is exclusive to shopTHQ, priced at $79.99". So, the Collector's Edition won't be available in stores? Quote
Deleted Member Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 This is Typical of THQ and Yukes.... You see the announce these games all the time and every year they find more and more ways to stick it to fans and to be blunt crap all over the WWE fans... They purposely with hold stuff like collector edition info so what happens? Fans go out to their local Gamestop's and other stores reserve their copies and then after doing so THQ *****s them all over just like this and here's the biggest thing what if people shell out the $80 dollars for this so called collector edition and we all get the same BS excuse of server we have going on in WWE12 then it will be all for not and we all wasted even more then the usual $60 + dollars for the regular games Quote
Smacktalks Posted July 19, 2012 Author Posted July 19, 2012 Availability aside, I think it's over priced. If you were getting the full Stone Cold DVD Set it might be more worth it, but considering you only get Disc 4 then the majority of the price is probably down to the actual Austin signature. Quote
Smacktalks Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 To update this, GameStation.co.uk are now also offering the Stone Cold Edition for the same price of £64.99. Quote
