ALL STAR Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Security camera footage showing the police beating of Kelly Thomas, a mentally ill homeless man, at a Fullerton, California bus depot on the night of July 5, 2011. The altercation begins at #. Disturbing video but cases like this are becoming far too common among the Police, there are far to many officers drunk on their own power who are incable of doing their job. The guy was begging for his life yet the sick fucks poured on the pressure till he couldn't take it. Atleast this time two officers were prosecuted, though it is hardly a fitting punishment for them, I'm not sure what happened to the rest involved. Now this isn't a 'I hate the Police thing' but more should be done to weed out the fucked up cops from the good ones. Seems like they are more akin to ignoring they have problems in the ranks rather than addressing the issue. Quote
Smacktalks Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I've just been reading up on the court case, it's disgusting to see that the Police are trying to blame the Doctors that revived him for causing his death during CPR. How the Police can defend those Officers for beating the guy when he was defenceless is beyond me, especially the one that Tasered him when he was on the ground and then admits to "smashing his face in" with the Taser. It's also appauling to read that when the Ambulance arrived they were only directed to an officer with a scratch and were not even made aware of the man lying in a pool of blood on the other side of the car. It wouldnt even suprise me if the officers get away with it. Quote
Fozy Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 It really makes no sense to me how these officers are getting the power given to them? It's a disgrace. They should all be shot. Quote
Sunny Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 People with money and influence always will get the upper hand. Nothing's going to be done about it anyways no matter how much we disagree. Quote
Deleted Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I saw this same thing happen in Philly and again in the Allentown area as well Absolutely sick! that this conduct continues to be tolerated and in many of the cases if a cop is involved it's like they "protect" their own and blame everything and everybody else. In the two I know of they both were Vets and the officers just didn't care. Quote
Guest Stingertap10 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Well, as terrible as that is, still "beats" having your face chewed off by a dude high on "Bath Salts" Just goes to show how corrupt our justice system is even at the street level. Quote
