Hauppauge HD PVR

I finally bought the HD PVR and such for future gaming needs However I seem to be getting an undesired effect to the videos. I record them just fine in full screen yet it makes the following effect:

Anyway I can fix this so it looks proportioned and such?

I cant remember the exact option on the PS Dashboard but it's likey in either the Display or Output settings, make sure the resolution is set to one of the widescreen options.

I've been using 1280x720, but you could try 1920x1280 if you want full HD recordings. The only reason i'm using 720 is that the filesizes are a lot smaller, and it takes less time to encode the videos after editing.
