WWE '12: Patch Update + Additional Free WWE Superstar DLC

THQ last night issued the following communication regarding the upcoming patch for WWE '12 confirming it is in the final phase of completion in the submission process and that they are gunning for an end of the month release.

THQ also went on to announce that they will not only be releasing the Legends DLC pack at the same time as the patch, but they are planning to release an additional FREE WWE Superstar as "make-good" DLC to make up for the problems gamers have faced online since the release of the title. We know the first couple weeks of 2012 have been rather quiet around here (thanks Y2J), but we standby this first quarter of 2012 is going to turn a few things upside down around here, and we mean that in a good way. Our upcoming title update that you have been waiting patiently for is nearing the final road of completion in the submission process and gunning for an end of the month release - this update will address the primary online stability issues with community creations and a multitude of improvements to Universe Mode. At the same time as the title update we will also release our Legends DLC pack featuring The Animal - Batista, Hardcore Legend Mick Foley, and the late-great Randy "Macho Man" Savage, as well as a FREE DOWNLOAD of upcoming WWE Superstar Brodus Clay.

And as you may be well aware, we have a "make-good-free-DLC" WWE Superstar planned for you, as a thank you for your continued patience. So the free one'll be Mick Foley? I still want them to put The Miz's alternate attires up for those who didn't or couldn't pre-order the game. I DID pre-order it, but I got screwed.

The "make good dlc" is Chris Jericho?! "Really? Really?" What a waste of time, space and money on THQ's part. I was hoping for, as I'm sure many people were, an updated attire for Kane.

Marcus Stephenson confirmed the make-good DLC was not Chris Jericho so it only leads to me predicting it will be an old Masked Kane attire or The Great Khali.

Considering a lot of people have been moaning that the game is broken I haven't come across any major bugs, the only problem I've had is with accessing the servers.

I didnt notice Marcus' tweet about it, however if it's not Jericho I only see it being Masked Kane, as they have the model ready, it's just a case of changing the attire and adding the mask.

I think it was Cory Ledesma that twittered that the patch addresses numerous Universe mode issues. Just with my short time with the mode I've come across countless issues with it, from entrance bugs to people walking through tables in cutscenes. Nothing game breaking, just usual Yuke's shittiness on display.

Universe as a mode is just messed up to begin with, it really should be a stand alone thing similar to how the old GM Mode where what ever you do in that does not affect standerd exibition etc.

Simple stuff like vacanting a title is gone, it's just wierd how last years version worked so much better.

The only problem I find really annoying is when you go to choose a custom arena and you have to wait until it loads in the photos of all the arenas you have before you can select one.

I apologize for the double post but while trying to clear up some cluttering, I did find this topic again.

Another name that will likely be included on the WWE '12 roster is that of Andre The Giant.

If you scroll down to the bottom of THQ's roster page, you will see the following:

Andre the Giant is a trademark of the Andre R. Roussimoff Testamentary Trust.

As of writing, Andre hasn't been announced for the game and is not listed on the page but with the above text shown it appears that he'll soon be announced.
