Sunny Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 For those of us Universe junkies...I have the scoop on the editing processes first hand. Some of this info has been disputed back and forth and now I just wanted to make a thread so it is all cleared up. -You can create brands as you did in SVR '11. In the create brand menu, it tells you how many superstars are on the brand and it will allow you to add or remove them there. I would presume changing rosters here would be quicker than doing it in the superstars menu. -The monday and friday shows MUST have fifteen(or so it says, it seemed like 16) superstars to pull from so it can use its logic for rivalries. However, the 15 may be split between one or more rosters. For example, I removed as many people as I could from Raw and switched them to WCW before adding WCW to Raw as a brand. It stopped me when Raw's number dropped to 15. I then added WCW to Raw in the edit show menu. I was then able to continue removing guys from the Raw brand. -Editing Shows: We've all seen the edit show menu from the ITR menu. Just a couple things here to add...As others have reported, you can edit Superstars. You can hit the edit show button when you highlight it on the calendar and the same menu pops up. The only difference is that you cannot access the brands or titles, as there are no titles for the show, and every brand that has been assigned to either show is on Thursday. You can in fact make a world title the minor title, and something like the cruiserweight title the major title when you change the belts on a show. As most of the belts were locked on me at the time, I cannot comment on how to work with the tag belts. Any brand that appears on the monday show cannot be added to the friday show. In the menu where you select a brand(s) for a show, the brand you highlight has information about it displayed off to the right; number of superstars and which day(monday or friday) the brand appears on. Because of this, if it tells you the brand appears or airs on monday, it will not let you add it to the friday show. So there MUST be at least two different brands in universe. For example, I had put the one nxt guy to appear on smackdown, and as a result, nxt was not selectable to add to Raw. -SVRmaster is correct about not having match flow if you edit a match. Either way you edit it, you will be forced to play that match right away, even if it is the main event. -Editing PPV's: This was great news for me. You CAN edit the PPV's the same as superstars; there are no titles, and every brand appears, but everything else you can change. What's better is that if you change the PPV and save its changes, it WILL show up as the same one the next year around! I did this with the April PPV. I simmed up to the first Wrestlemania, then I changed the PPV in April, simmed to the NEXT year's Wrestlemania, and I found that the PPV in April was the same that I changed it to. -Here's a nice feature I don't think anyone has mentioned. When you change the stats of a superstar, you select save and you can immediately move on to the next one while the game saves it. It saves a little time. -Just a note; make sure you save changes or hit accept whenever you edit something. Backing out will only erase whatever you changed. I suspect some people had issues with this in the early goings. I also played a match with Christian against Dolph Ziggler. It's not just enough to say that the gameplay is better. It feels more like a game now because in recent years it's felt more like a chore. The AI fights back well and provides a decent challenge even on Easy mode. Easy mode is NOT that difficult unless you have no idea what you are doing with the controls. You just have to keep the offense up or else the computer will get you. I also noticed that standing strikes seem to have less reach. I don't know if this was just a Christian thing, or if they somehow changed/improved the hit detection. I think it helped because I wasn't just able to blast Ziggler from pillar to post with strikes because they wouldn't connect. I had to grapple. My only regret is not having an HD tv to play this on because the graphics do look a bit better. Source: Steveviscious Quote
