No Alternate Attire for Kane

When it comes to WWE 12, the usual speculations surround who will be in the roster, who will be in the DLC and what the wrestlers included have to say about it. Now, THQ has just confirmed that Kane has only one available attire in the wrestling video game. Kane will be wearing his current look and nothing else. This means that he will not wear a mask. This may be ok with some fans but there are those who will be disappointed. Depends on their preferences, really. But yeah, there are those who will surely be missing the times when Kane had two attires. He had a couple in previous installments of the WWE video game franchise. By the way, the masked version was Kane’s look from 1997 to 2003.

A fan could not help but ask THQ’s part-time Community Manager Marcus Stephenson through Twitter and Stephenson tweeted back: “Kane does not have an alt. attire this year. Kane fans would be especially disappointed with this especially since we heard that other wrestlers like Edge, Legion of Doom and Christian will be getting alternate attires. I mean how would you feel if you are a fan? Don’t you want to just give Kane that alternate attire?

Maybe we should ask Kane how he feels about it. There isn’t any word yet on how he would like to be shown in WWE 12. Maybe he doesn’t really feel like the masked Kane of yesteryears. For now, we can only wait for other announcements coming from the makers of the WWE 12. Maybe they have a DLC up their sleeves with all the alternative attires.

This is one thing I will never understand about THQ and Yukes they have perfectly fine models from previous games, they have recycled models so many times like Takers model has been the same for years. It's like they have the material there and it is very little work to actually put it into the game plus it is an extra selling point. Same goes for entrance attires they have Edge's coat or shirt already made yet it doesn't make it in.

THQ say this is down to making an extra model for the character which is a crazy way of doing it, all they need to do is apply a t shirt model over the character model. Fuck, the Raw games did this.

That's the main problem THQ have had for years, surely by now someone at THQ should have come up with that solution. There's also the fact that by doing that they would be in a position to allow players to customise models with t-shirts, etc. in Superstar Threads rather than just being able to change the colour of an item.

It would be awesome if they had just a default shirt design that was an option for an alt attire or as entrance attire, with the use of the paint tool you could easily update stuff.
