Easy AR2/GS2V2 NTSC-PAL conversion for...

NTSC -> PAL

All the AR2/GS2V2 codes for CAW and wrestler mods can be converted by just changing the 6th ( and sometimes 5th ) digits of the code.

STEP 1

If the 6th digit of the NTSC code is the number on the left on the list below, change it to the number on the right. Only if the number on the right has a * next to it must you also perform step 2.

0 -> 5

1 -> C

2 -> D

3 -> E

4 -> 7

5 -> 0

6 -> 1

7 -> 2

8 -> B

9 -> 4*

A -> 5*

B -> 6*

C -> F

D -> 8

E -> E

F -> A

STEP 2

Add 1 to the fifth digit. F becomes 0. Don't worry about the 4th digit, with the current types of codes it won't be affected. And here's the table for those of you who are hexidecimally challenged

0 -> 1

1 -> 2

2 -> 3

3 -> 4

4 -> 5

5 -> 6

6 -> 7

7 -> 8

8 -> 9

9 -> A

A -> B

B -> C

C -> D

D -> E

E -> F

F -> 0

PAL -> NTSC ( Don't see this happening too often, but )

ARMAX users are currently screwed. I don't know how many times I've said this...or how many more times I'll have to say it, but here goes.

I just knew I'd get something like that.

In HEX, subtract 00000300 from the first 8 digits to convert from NTSC-PAL. Add 00000300 for PAL-NTSC.

I'm not familiar enough with CB2 encryption to plot a chart.

EDIT - However, ther is this little gem you can download and save. It's great for converting multiple lines of code.

Get it while the site's still there, I don't know where it originally came from:

Alternate code converter

Next to Action Replay Coding Format: pull down the tab and select BCA99B83.

Under the Source tab select Xploder/Code Breaker.

Under the Result tab select Raw.

Copy&Paste the CB2 code(s) you want to convert in the Source box.

Click the -> Button.

You should have the HEX version of the code in the Result box.

NTSC -> PAL : Subtract 00000300 from the first 8 digits of each line in the Result box. Remember to carry over when you subtract past 0, just like normal subtraction.

PAL -> NTSC : Add 00000300 to the first 8 digits of each line in the Result box. Remember to carry over when you add past F, just like normal addition.

Click the <- button.

You should have your converted Xploder/Code Breaker codes(s)in the Source box.

Once again, this is for Wrestler & CAW mods. It will also work with season mode mods. It might work on always match type mods ( anyone know? ) . It won't work on all codes.
