ALL STAR Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I've been keeping my eye on these for sometime and finally today they revealed Batman, the final result is jaw dropping. I can't believe how movie accurate it is compared to the film, I just finished ordering the two of them. Hoping that they continue the line by making the Batman Returns suit along with De Vito's Penguin. Quote
jitz Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 The paint jobs on the real things are never as good as the pro paint job photographed in the promo shots. So yeah those shots are pretty impressive, but now sit a 50 Asians down and tell them to paint 5000 of them in a sweaty room in China. With these deluxe statues it's usually best to order from a local shop where you can cancel your order when you've seen it in person. They're usually pretty good about it and sending it back to the supplier when the paint job is not up to scratch. Best of luck with your gamble! Quote
ALL STAR Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 I don't mind about the paint apps seeing as Hot Toys have a great production process, I have no clue how they keep up the quality on these things. It's near enough to the promo shots so it is hard to notice any difference. They cost a fair bit by coming in at around £200 a pop but the Batman is a little less at £180, if prices are anything to go by after release when they are sold out the only place to pick one up would be Ebay and even then you would be looking to pay atleast double what it was originally.
