tokidoim
Haven't noticed that. When does he do it? Running Striking move? Running Grapple? Running Special? Special w/ weapon? Running Special w/ weapon?!? Should be easy to find if it's anything except for a running special w/weapon...that one's new to me. EDIT : Iwould hope you're not just talking about having Spinning Wheel Kick 6 as a running attack... nosig Edited December 28, 2003 by tokidoim
Maximicus
If RVD is carrying a chair and running press X and he'll jump and kick the chair instead of swinging it. If it connects he drops the chair and the other guy flys.
tokidoim
Innteresting. Well, he said you'd have to select RVD's fighting style to get that so there may or may not be an individual move number for that. Unfortunately, there's no move mod for a running weapon attack yet. I haven't even bothered to check that while exploring the P1 section, but I will now ( hope I didn't miss it already, cause it's a pain in the ass to hack...it's a freakin' huge area and really frustrating to hack ) nosig

chinhouse
Maximicus is absolutely correct. I was referring to running with a chair and then pressing the X button. I had noticed that RVD would kick the chair instead of swing, like all the other wrestlers seem to do. Fighting Style seems to affect this. I'll be going through the other fighting styles in a bit, to see if any of them has an affect on anything else. I was hoping that the Old School Undertaker's situp move would by selectable with this -- but no go. The Old School Taker has the same fighting style as Kane, so that clearly wasn't it. TheRob
Other than RVD's fighting stance, the only other stances that have anything special about them are Big Show's, Undertaker 1 & 2, and Kane's. They all have a double team reveral Chokeslam, and both Undertaker stances have his apron leg drop similar to the one RVD has.
tokidoim
Yah, in SD4 I found the reversal animations ( whenever you used them for a move, you got chokeslammed ). The only weapon-based move mod is for the Weapon Special. The problems are that hacking unlisted move values would take a lot longer in HCTP because unselectables cause lockups in the Edit Moves menu, the game won't recognize the Smackdown Situation for a non-selectable move, and seapon moves generally cause lockups when used as non-weapon moves... But who knows... nosig
Maximicus
I wonder if you could make other weapons register as chairs. Like RVD grabs a ladder and does a running van daminator, You could never set it up, but the animation would be hilarious. If you use Jericho's or Jeff Hardy's fighting styles they do secret ladder attacks, Walls of Jericho and Swanton Bomb respectively.
Smouthboy1
Its not the fighting stance for Jeff and Jericho. If you pick one of the Walls of Jericho or Swanton Bomb 2 as a finisher you can do it.
Maximicus
I thought it was either way Finish/stance???
