Shadow Storm Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Edge is a legend, yay. Why aren't the Bella's, Alicia, Kaitlyn or AJ on there? Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 13, 2011 Author Posted August 13, 2011 This is just the list from the reveal event, they didnt reveal any of those. Quote
schsammydeanie Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 This looks like it's gonna be the weakest and most boring of the games. The only thing I'm excited about is the new camera angles and the fact Maryse's hair moves when she flicks it in her entrance! Very weak roster (even though Cory said it was "strong") especially with the Divas. Entrances and move sets all seem to be the same. Very dissapointed! Quote
ALL STAR Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 How exactly is the roster weak? it matches that of the actual WWE apart from a few names like the Uso's, JTG and Tyler Reks but I'm pretty sure they won't be missed. Add to that the great legends added this year coupled with dlc what exactly did you expect from the roster? How are moves the same? from the few gameplay videos that have been released there has been quite the variety added to that the unique comebacks etc each wrestler should have their unique aspects. I am by no means defending this game like it is the best thing ever, you really can't judge movesets until more footage has been released. Quote
Shadow Storm Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 All Star, don't feed the trolls, man. He/she/it jsut wants attention, that's what you're giving he/she/it. Also, I just noticed HBK's not revealed. Hopefully that's -yet- A Wrestling Game's not complete without him. Quote
Sunny Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 This looks like it's gonna be the weakest and most boring of the games. The only thing I'm excited about is the new camera angles and the fact Maryse's hair moves when she flicks it in her entrance! Very weak roster (even though Cory said it was "strong") especially with the Divas. Entrances and move sets all seem to be the same. Very dissapointed! I was going through the entrances and I thought to myself, I like how they updated the titantrons and minitrons but the mocap people should really get an umbrella shoved up their ass when capturing entrance movements. I mean, just look at Orton's or Miz's entrances. They were so generic and bland that they didn't even bear a resemblance to their superstar counterparts. I don't even know why their entrances were even tampered with if they're not going to be better. Last year Miz's entrance was spot on and same goes with Orton. The entrances that didn't get their motion changed look a helluva lot better such as Maryse's. Simply phenomenal. Another top notch entrance was Wade Barrett's with him retaining last year's movements. Although, there's a plus side that surprises such as Eddie Guerrero, Demolition, Booker T, Goldust, The King, William Regal, and Sin Cara are in this year, this game's roster still hasn't won me over just yet. There are still 14 people left to be revealed and it's a safe bet some of them are alumni such as Chris Masters, Gail Kim, and Melina. I'm absolutely positive Shawn Michaels will be DLC and if rumors are correct that Brock Lesnar and Goldberg would be FINALLY making a return to the franchise, then there you have it, WWE '12 would have the best roster by far. schsammydeanie Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I'm not trying to start a fight or anything so calm down. I'm not looking for attention either, I'm just voicing my opinion which is kinda what the comment section is for. And I had no knowledge that there is still 14 superstars to be revealed so I apologize for not knowing sooner. And as far as the legends go, I think they look amazing this year. I never mentioned them in my last comment (which I actually meant to do) and I think they've really made the legends special this year. And by movesets, I mean the finishers, mainly. Obviously except for the new superstars, the moves look the same as every other year. I really like when they update how the move looks to make it more realistic, and this year there's not much. I really appreciate the work they've put into this game, but it's just not living up to the hype that I've seen. There's always going to be mixed reviews for everything and mine is just the way it is. If you don't agree, that's fine, I'm not asking you to. Quote
Sunny Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 12 now with the inclusion of the "Master of the An-Cole Lock" Michael Cole and "Diva of the Decade" Trish Stratus which leads me to believe Cole was the "mystery" superstar they were supposedly hyping for September. Also, I see this game has been made smoother when it comes to gameplay and it's not getting the credit that it deserves. According to the videos I've seen however, it seems that moves are superstar specific this year. But, the limited moves it will have because of their removal last year will always be a major factor.
