Can you set-up title matches?

Hey everyone, no one probably remembers me, but that's fine because I've been away from the boards for nearly 4 years.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was any possible way to set up a title match through either Universe or Exhibition. I know you'll defend it at every PPV, but that's after you've already won it.

I know you have to climb up the ranks and get your title shot, but there has to be some way to set up a title match between friends without having to just play the match then change the title setting. I just think it's lame that belts like the ECW and Cruiserweight Championships can not actually be defended because RAW and Smackdown does not support them. So does anyone know if there's any other way like before where you pick your characters and then choose "Put your title on the line?"

I havent seen any options to do it so far, it's just the PPV defence matches that i've seen. It does seem odd to have been left out tho.

There is a way to do it, put an unlockable belt on the Champion whom you want to defend the title (the real one). Go through exhibition and create you match, after you pick attire it will come up with the option to defend a belt, pick the real title and that's it.

Not ideal, essentially a mistake by Yukes (THQ wanted you to use WWE Universe), but it's there.

I see where THQ is coming from, local defense of belts between you and a friend, not really a big deal. Especially for an option that essentially breaks the Universe mode. So multiplayer title defenses are really meant to take place online.

I'm assuming you can defend a custom belt online at anytime....
