lots of news websites are calling it the first evidence of time travel lol

Man, I should put my mind to something and become internet famous because it's too fucking easy to make the news these days.

The film is supposedly from 1928, I tell you what for footage of a woman walking infront of a building at a Charlie Chaplin movie, it's in mighty fine condition, better than the actual movie infact (The Circus). It's probably just some footage from one of the hundreds of Charlie Chaplin documentaries that have been made over the years.

The whole arguement of why it wouldn't be a time traveller (if it's a time traveller from the future why are we still using archaic hand sets?) has been done to death. Unless it's a Doctor Who companion, the mobile phone has been a popular macguffin in the past few years.

I think it's a mobile phone.

A mobile from the recent past that has been captured on film that has been aged to look like old film for use in a documentary.

Didnt "experts" say the film was untouched? I thought that was the reason it made the news.

Why would a time traveller go back in time to see a Charlie Chaplin movie? Would you not have better, more awesome things to go and see and do?

I think I read it on the BBC website, they asked the same question as to why someone would go back for this. The only answer they gave was that they were maybe in town for something else.

i watched it once, just in 360p... i dont care enough to watch it again, but i didnt see anything in their hand, so i've decided they are kinda talking to their hand!

alternatively, maybe uts just a random prediction by the film makers themselves....

this is all the input i'm willing to place in this topic as 1. i'm really not convinced as by now MORE evidence of shit like this sort of thing should have arisen by now, and 2. chris will ultimately prove everyone wrong somewhere down the line anyways.

Firstly, if it was a time traveller with a mobile, who the hell were they phoning? Did they have a great phone signal in 1928? What network is she on?

Secondly, it is probably a woman moaning due to an ear ache or tinnitus. It's the 20s for god's sake.
