Well this is a grand start to a weekend...

I got hit by a car this morning. I don't mean I was in a car that got hit. I was walking across the street and was physically smashed into by a guy in a Jeep. He looked to be going about 20 MPH, and I flew about 20-25 feet through the air. I've been out of the hospital for about 2 hours. They CAT scanned and X-Rayed me. No breaks or serious blood. Just a MASSIVE amount of contusions. I can't put any weight on my legs, so walking even with crutches is almost impossible. I won't be able to drum for anywhere from 2 weeks to a month, and my entire body hurts like hell. It could've been worse though; I could be dead.

if it makes you feel any better i got hit in 1996, told similar, stay off legs etc, was pretty ok by the end of the weekend and felt 100% after a week, so stay positive dude, doctors seem to lie.

I once walked into a moving car, walking down the street on way home from bar and fucker didn't go around us at all barley. I was staggering around and took a couple steps in the wrong direction at exactly the right time, it was incredible timing really, a second earlier and i would've been hit full on, instead my elbow smashed into the edge of the front window and broke in two places and also sent me flying into the ditch. The fucker didn't even stop, full arm cast for 3 months and a little over year later still can't fully extent my arm.

I think don has us all beat in car related injures though, pretty sure awhile back he got thrown out of one.
