Smacktalks Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Has anyone tried the Firefox 4 Beta? I didnt install it as i've a bunch of macros setup for the current version but was wondering how it compares to the current version and Chrome. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/beta/ Quote
ALL STAR Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Not tried it yet ill just wait for the full release, i hope they fix allot of the problems with the current firefox as it is pretty terrible at the moment. Quote
Aero Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 you can run both paul, so far all i've noticed is it looks more like chrome lol. o like how its copied over my skin. lol Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 30, 2010 Author Posted August 30, 2010 Oh cool, I figured it would just update my existing one. I like the Sync option, there's been loads of times i've wanted to get a bookmark from my home PC when I was at work. Quote
eliteX Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I just got IE9, its quite good compared to the other versions and the screen area is huge. Quote
Aero Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 ie9 does look alot better... its ie tho... so i'm not too keen on going back to iy lol Quote
hath80 Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I didn't even know that they are launching Firefox 4. Surely I will check it out. I like Firefox. Quote
Aero Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 it's still in beta.. tho this current beta version is alot less buggy so i'd say its due for official release soon enough Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 What kinda bugs have you had with it? Mine keeps freezing whenever I start it for a few seconds but after that its ok. I'm really starting to prefer Chrome for the speed but I use a bunch of addons in Firefox. Quote
Aero Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 aye, freezing thing, issues with finding updates for old add-ons, in one beta videos wouldnt play right from some sites, crashed a few times.. all sorts of things, but at the end of the day thats why its a beta, for us to work with and feed back issues. with the menu bar taken off i have come around to firefox 4, but chrome and even i.e9 have more space on screen so i think they have slipped up.
