I expect everything to be labelled "official"; only to arrive at my doorstep in inferior or nonexistant packaging, and with shoddy build quality. I recently purchased "Official" X Box 360 VGA cables from a workmate of yours. They were selling for $2 on ebay, with surprisingly cheap shipping. So I really had nothing to lose, and I was fully expecting them to be anything but official, if they plugged into the 360 that would be a victory. It arrived yesterday, they plug in to the 360 (win), they plug into the lcd monitor (holy fuck something from Hong Kong that works!), turned the thing on....the worst image quality I've ever seen since poorly tuning in an old tv to the Mega Drive RF adaptor. It's like someone just smeared the screen across, making it unreadable. I changed the resolution from the meagre 800 x 600 default (obviously Paul set the default), up to 1920 x 1080. It just made the blur high definition, and everyone knows what happens when you take a shitty picture and make it HD, just play a PlayStation 1 game on 1080p. I didn't bother putting in a game. Tell your workmate I appreciated the cheap, fast shipping, but sadly it was the best part of his product which now has been shipped even faster to my bin. Quote
