Smacktalks Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Any thoughts on ways of reviving the forums for a Zombie run... ? Quote
WordLifeCj Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Any thoughts on ways of reviving the forums for a Zombie run... ? Go for a sports focused forum. Like MMA and stuff maybe. Quote
CS Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I think it's safe to say most of us just outgrew wrestling and started focusing on real sports and once general chat died there wasn't really a point of going on here anymore. I still do go on football and mma forums though. Quote
Aero Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 i dunno, phone roy or moss... of you get roy, tell him ur 1 of the girls from the 7th floor! Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I got Moss, but couldnt understand his technical terms. I'll just post the question on FriendFace instead. Quote
jitz Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I was once a supporter of the sports board idea, I'm off that bandwagon now. My idea, a clan board. Make Smacktalks a social videogame clan. Have internal leaderboards, organise tournaments, and talk shit. You'd still have space for forums of other shit, like other games, general chat, media, even wrestling discussion if you were mad keen on it. It would involve getting rid of most of the other forums though. I think it's the only way of keeping everyone that does post, still posting after a big change (a sports forum would alienate quite a few). Still keeping it videogame focused is the way to go. That's my crazy idea. It kind of links off of Paul's idea for a videogame betting thing, but on a far smaller scale. Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I think that's the best possible way to go, especially with a new game being released in the coming months. http://smacktalks.org/svrleague/ This is the old league site that I setup, you should all be able to access it if your logged in on the forums. It's still got a bunch of bugs that need sorting out but I think reviving it and developing it further for the next game might work if we go Chris' suggestion. Quote
jitz Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I wouldn't focus it on SvR, I would open it up for all the top games like COD, Halo, Gears, Fifa. That way you could invite your friends to join the clan and it not be an embarrassing Smackdown vs Raw clan. Besides SvR has such shitty net code that every match I've played is...well unplayable. Matt Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Aint it funny how these posts always get more replies than any other? Quote
jitz Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Because I think deep down we actually like each other, but we all really don't like wrestling anymore. A fact we've tried to get through to Paul for quite a number of years. Quote
