Just a shout out to members on here, i had these guys ring just a short time ago, they act like an anti virus company claiming to know your computer is infected and to run their web address on your windows computer. A quick search on google and it is plain to see that the company is a scam, they act quite professional over the phone so i would suggest anyone with older relatives or people who are not pc savvy to warn them about this so they are not taken in.

It is the first time ive come across this has this happened to anyone else? What i found funny is when i put it in google and told them the result they started back tracking saying that even if i put my name in google it would come up with scam attached to it

Did they just call you up out of the blue?

It's the first time i've heard of company's calling you up and claiming your PC is infected. Usually it's them installing something on your PC and pestering you to call them.

Brother told me a similar company rang recently aswell saying the internet is running slow and you must install this program to fix it.

But yeah they just rang out of the blue it was the first time ive heard of them, looked about online and it seems like its not just happening in the UK now. I would hate to think what the program is they want to install and what information it could be taking they are bound to get some people who dont know any better.
