Impossible task, trying to find a music video

Im trying to help a friend find a song based on the following lack of information

All i remember is a church and he's there with his wife/girlfriend..

There's a shooting and the woman got hit... she died..

i remember this from years ago... i loved the song but i have no clue who its by, all i know is its a black singer

Has anyone got any idea what music video this could be?

only church thing i can think of is guns n roses - november rain, but clearly thats wrong...

I had a quick look on Youtube but couldnt find out, was thinking Ghetto Gospel for some reason but the videos nothing to do with a church, etc. tho it is an awesome song.
