They gave a really good account of themselves, I was hoping they'd nick an equaliser at the very end but they can still be well proud of that performance.

At the current rate I think there could be a few upsets. They've got a decent chance against Portugal and the Ivory Coast, but I think the game last night will have taken a lot out of them.

i dont think they underperformed as such, inside the box yes, but in general, best passing and vision i've seen so far, we'll see how they fair the enxt 2 matches before we come to a decision me thinks!

sure there was playacting at bay, but kaka didnt stand his ground, he swung his elbow back, thats "lashing out" and is deemed a yellow card offence, he was already on a yellow so it was a sending off, FACT!

if he had actually hit ur dude in the face tho, it should have been a straight red which suggests the 4th official saw it all and made the call!

I think the Aussies have a good team but I dont think they'll go all the way. Holland on the other hand have a lot of good players, if they perform they'll be right up there.

Paul, I appreciate your faith in my country, I do. Someone needed that faith, because I sure as hell don't have it. If our team is actually semi-decent, imagine what it would be like if the sport was actually popular beyond Italians in this country. AFL, rugby and cricket. That's what we're all about.
