What'd you think of the new look iPhone? (Not that it's changed very much)

I didn't like it was much at first, but after seeing it a few times I think I prefer it.

It is a sexy device. If only the Apple employee didn't bricked it remotely with MobileMe, we could see the real meat and potatoes of the phone. Still my 3GS is only a couple months old, so I've no chance of seeing this new one in my pocket.

I'll still have around a year left on my contract when it's released so i'll probably wait to upgrade it. O2 said if a new one was released I could pay to get it upgraded but i've a feeling the price for an upgrade alone will be over the top.

My contract was up a couple of months ago, I'm just waiting for it to come out to upgrade it.

i've resisted the call of the iphone so far but damn that is sexy, im due an upgrade in sepy-tember, i think i might switch over now simply because it'll be atleast a bit better than the 3Gs and it looks soooooo much better.

I actually work in a phone store, and the amount of people that have signed up for 24 month iphone contracts between october and now has been phenomenal. Some people have even signed up for 36 month contracts, which is just plain fucking stupid.

It'll be interesting to see what actually happens when this thing is finally released.. I mean judging by what i just said, if apple are expecting the hype and initial record sales that have been seen in the past, they'll be in for a very big shock. They'll be a victim of their own success.

If your going to signup for a contract do it when it's released, then if you get a 2-year contract Apple tend to release the main updated versions every two years, so you'll be due an upgrade at a better time.

As for the roundness, it feels good to hold, but if you try to stand it up to watch a video, etc. you have to keep trying to find something to lean it against.

It actually reminds me of the HTC HD2:

Hmm the HD2 still has very rounded edges similar to the iPhone, they just don't show up so well on that photo there. It even has the same bulbous back like the iPhone where the rounded corners wrap right around the the very back of the device. Infact, I'd say the HD2 is similar to the iPhone, and new iPhone is more similar to the iPod touch.
