The Don Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 So I decided to pop 2010's Lord of War cherry this morning and went to pop in my BR copy and as I clicked on the icon I got a 80029940 error code, then after cleaning a 80029941 error code and finally the kabosh was put on my hopes of enjoying my favorite movie in HD when I got the invalid disc (80029906) code. Finally it got to the point where my PS3 told me to go fuck myself and wouldn't even recognize the disc was in the damn system. I searched around and did all the little tricks like turning off super white, restarting and praying to Kaz Hairi himself in hopes he had powers to fix it. Basically to make a long story short, if your Blu-Ray doesn't pop up with a thumbnail image of the movie, enjoy the movie while you can because soon enough you won't be able to. Atleast I have 2 DVD copies of it. Quote
jitz Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Did you try turning the console upside down? Quote
Chillalex Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 thats funny don, considering every blu ray i've ever played doesn't have a thumbnail but runs absolutely perfectly. fuck your life. Quote
Smacktalks Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I'm still suprised people are actually paying for Blu-Ray's, for the price of them it's a rip off. Just download the HD rips for free! Quote

jitz Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Welcome to commerce. Goods are services are sold at a higher value than they are truly worth, this is called 'profit'. 'Profit' is the cornerstone of how the modern world operates. Quote
Chillalex Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 as a general rule I find most Blu-Rays affordable, just be wary of rip offs. Most are like 14 quid a film which is fine, 20 is not. This most certainly, isnt; Quote
Aero Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 why would you buy a lost season 1-5 boxset knowing full well that there is going to be 1 more season!?! tho Quote
Chillalex Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 word. as for your first statement? who knows! Probably will get it though in time, as because there will be a 1-6 set, the 1-5 set will be alot cheaper to sell/clear stock. Then just top it off with a series 6 dvd set and you are done at a fraction of the price. But that's probably not why they released it. Quote
Aero Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 they prepare for things like that tho, so there wont be much stock of 1-5 around when 1-6 comes out. i'll wait a year or 2, by then i'll have forgot all of the goings on of the show and enjoy watching it... it should also be cheaper by then lol Quote
CrossFan Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Wasn't this the same discussion with VHS's and DVD's when they first came out? Quote
