Smacktalks Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Anyone watching it? Is it live on any free channels in the UK? or is it just on Box Office? Nevermind, thought it was on this week Quote
takersfan Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Im going to try to see it somewhere. Im very interested in the heavyweight fight. And it never hurts to watch a Dan henderson fight. Quote
Trips Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Its live on channel 433 (Racing World WTF) for free at 3am. Countdown and buildup is on now. Quote
The Don Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 First thing is first. Belcher was ROBBED. Pain and simple. He knows it, the fans know it, Joe Rogan said it. Secondly, Hendo got one of the best knocked outs I've seen last night. Bisping was out as soon as the first punch connected and then the follow up just sealed the deal. That fight won me 20 bucks and made my buddys quit second guessing Hedno, as well as PRIDE fighters in general. GSP and Alves put on a fantastic fight, I have so much more respect for both of them now after that fight and simply cannot wait for their next meeting. I think if Alves can somehow get inside and land a few good had punches he could take the title next time. But That's kind of saying a lot when we're talking about GSP. As far as the main event goes, well I'm torn. I really couldn't pick a winner. Yes Brock is a beast, but I really was hoping Mir could catch him again. It's not that I don't like Brock as a fighter, I don't like that Brock still seems to have that WWE mentality. I didn't care much for his conduct leading into the fight and I for sure didn't care for his post fight interview. It's a bad idea disrespecting the sponsor but that didn't bother me as much as the horse shoe comment. He coulda said it for a quick round of boos and/or cheers then say something to the effect of it was a good fight... show some sort of respect, but he didn't. Mir was classy in defeat, just as he had in leading into the fight. However, come the end of the night Brock was clearly the better fighter and I can't take that away from him and my hat is off to hi for another dominating fight... I just wish he'd show a little more respect. Quote
CS Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 What Brock proved last night was that you should never play mind games with him. That fight looked like a pissed off big brother putting his younger bro back in his place for running his mouth. WHen the other fighter shows Brock some respect he does in turn too, he was a class act against Couture but Herring and Mir both talked shit about him so we got the after-fight antics. Quote
