RingMaster2001 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) That post summarises that you don't know what you are talking about. We have given reasons. All of which you've ignored and carried on being an ignorant fool about. Weddings also are not given by men in dresses. You can have it that way if you want (and they are called robes), or you can have it done at a registry office. It's symbolic, and when you grow up you'll understand more. Aero Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 basicly, becuse catholic is an anogram of "oh lic cat" and licking cats is a sign that you are generally not against weddings and such the like, honestly ming, i thoguht it was obvious Quote
System of a Daan Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 How exactly? I thought in Catholic religion marriage was more or less obliged? Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 In the same way it is in Protestant, Jewish, and Islamic faiths. And how is that "The whole lot"? Quote
Thom Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Hey guys, when I saw the name of this thread, I thought Paul wanted a list of the girls that I've slept with! :lol Quote
System of a Daan Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 In the same way it is in Protestant, Jewish, and Islamic faiths. And how is that "The whole lot"? It might explain why you're such a strong supporter of marriage? Quote

It might explain why you're such a strong supporter of marriage? Did you read my first line? Jews, Protestants, and Muslims are all strong supporters of marriage. And I'm by no means a practicing Catholic. Iain merely mentioned it because he comes from one of the most sectarian backward cities in the World. Quote
System of a Daan Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Ofcourse I read that line. That line sais nothing about you being a Catholic or not... If Iain said you were a Jew/Muslim/Protestant I would've said the same thing. I was just saying that if you were Catholic it would explain your strong support for marriage. Have I sufficiently informed you of my motives? Quote
System of a Daan Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Not really. Are you Protestant? I don't believe in God. And I Quote
Fozy Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Was pulling a chain, I ain't into the religion/sectarianism bullshit. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Nope I wasnt. So you were brought up by 2 Atheists, who were also not baptised, coming from an Atheist family. That's one big anomaly in the Netherlands, one of the biggest Calvinist/Lutheran countries in the World. And you think people who want to get married are weird Quote
System of a Daan Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Trust me, me and my family are weird. Your view of the Netherlands was correct about 50 years ago. Everyone my age and up probably has/had grandparents that were indeed religious. I believe my dad might be baptised actually, as his parents were very religious and active in church. However the 80s came along and I was brought up in the aftermath of that, my parents are both very socialistic though. And that did rub off on me. So my remark about men in dresses isn't really that serious, maybe not serious at all. It didn't have class tho, so I apologise for it. My 'grudge' towards you Ringmaster is fading too, I must be in a good mood today. Quote
