The Don Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 SO I got a call from a family friend that she won tickets to Three Doors Down on the 18th so I get to go see them. I'm not the biggest fan of them, but it's a free concert. That being said I wasn't a big fan of Hinder until I saw them live with Theory of a Deadman and Motley Crue. But that's besides the point. I really only know Kryptonite, Train and (the propaganda anthem) Citizen Soilder by them. I'm just wondering if they put on a good show... I'm not expecting anything like Crue put on and I'm sure it won't be as good as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kid Rock in August but hopefully they can put on a decent show for someone who's not a big fan of theirs. Aero Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 they have a few other "good" songs if you like the likes of kryptonite, and from what i've gathered they are fairly tight at what they do live, tho mayb at their own show rather than festivals they put on more of a show. mayb youtube a few live videos? if its free and you come out saying it was ok or passable then ur laughing like, i cant see it being horrible and shit if you are aware of the kind of music they play in advance dude! The Don Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 zOMG DUBBLE BUBBLE!!!11 So yeah, the concert last night was actually pretty decent. The lead singer really sang his ass off, but if he called us his friends one more time I was gonna rush the stage and hurt him. I guess they'd been staying at the casino the past few days, during intermission I had talked to a few people who were at a blackjack table with the band the night before, which is kinda cool to hear. All in all I left the concert happy, I might even pay to see them again sometime. If you get a cahnce to see them live on the cheap I'd suggest it, especially if you go with a significant other. The Don Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 While I was outside smoking before the band started my brother told my that Psychostick was gonna be in town the next night (Friday) so 2 concerts in 2 days. Psychostick kicked ass (that right Iain, I said it.) They kicked so much ass my neck is still feeling the effects of the pits and Hokey Fucking Pokey two days later. I got the band to sign their new CD for me and a buddy of mine's car has PLUH for his license plate so he got the band to sign it and they took pictures so he'll be up on their main page soon...
