Sup hombres.

So basically, as a sort of hobby deal I've decided to make this giant picture for my wall, using photoshop to blend through some fave pics I have.

The picture is going to be 1.8 metres long by an A3 page turned sideways height (worst explanation i know, shh.)

When I'm done making it, I was going to take it to a printing place and get it printed, and then paste it to a bit pf plywood. After that was done, I was going to buy a piece of clear acrylic rather than glass to save costs, then buy some timber and use a router to make a cool frame for it all.

So yeah, that's the plans atm... has anyone got any better ideas slash suggestions on what to do?

Cheers.

LANDSCAPE

its called landscape....

anyways, i dunno much about framing etc but sounds like the most viable option to me. will we get to see it?

That truely was the worst explanation of size ever lol.

It depends on the images whether it should be landscape or portrait I guess, allow I usually prefer landscape.

This insane circus of tight arsery is giving all Australians a bad name. Buy a painting, it usually comes with a frame and as an added bonus, actual glass!

The custom printing cost of your unfathomabley sized photoshop monstrosity, would completely negate what little coolness potential it had. Besides, perspex doesn't get you laid.

shit the bed!

at that size, decent printing is going to be costly.

I'd advise against putting your own work up as decoration, because aside from the perception of it - once you see a flaw thats it, it ruins the whole thing for you. And there will be flaws; always is, always stuff you'd miss.

perspex is a decent idea though, mostly because glass is a twat

Hahaha way to verbally rape me Jitz.

The idea is that yeah, it's going to be a big custom landscape feature for the wall of my room in my new place. I'm trying to do it as tastefully and artistically as I can, to try and avoid it turning out like a 8th grade art project.

The idea is for it to be aesthetically pleasing upon first glance, then when you go in for a closer look you can spend ages checking out the finer details, such as the central 'tear' that goes horizontally through it which is full of quotes.

Printing it is definitely going to be a bitch but.. I'm getting some quotes for it atm. I'll defs put a sample of it up here first before I think I'm done, but that might not be for a while.

You should try more, because it made me laugh.. Poetry usually is to serious anyways.

Have you done any work on this yet?

Oh yeah.

I was like halfway done, so i called up and got a quote for it.. $220 AU. So yeah, as I'm poor as fuck atm, I'm just putting it on hold.

For $220 you could buy some paint, a framed print, a downlight, and a couple of pot plants.

Paint the wall a nice colour, install the downlight above when the print will hang, hang the print up, and throw the pot plants on either side and you'd have a nice feature wall didn't look totally shit. Your stunning sense class and style would impress the ladies aswell; unlike your photoshop vomit.

But that wouldn't be KUSTOM.

I think it'll actually turn out fairly badass. I'll post up a little sneak peek sometime.

So, I don't know why people call him Jitz, however I believe that I will now start...

Jitz, I don't think that he gives a shit about what he could possibly buy. I don't think he's trying to save costs, I think he's going for something he's made himself, so no matter how bad or good it turns out he can say he put his heart and soul into it.

Now for Crunk, I think what you should do, is that once you have found all your quotes, you should put one in that you yourself have come up with. Don't credit any authors/ speakers of quotes, and see if people can find yours. I really like this idea and I hope it comes out great for you. As an artist myself if you need any help dont hesitate to message me.

Heart, soul, and Photoshop. One doesn't belong.

Photoshop has become a recognized tool for creating art. Just because it can also be used to fake pictures and create hoaxes and stuff of that nature does not mean you can't put your heart and soul into something you make on a computer.
