D.A.R.S. Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Man, I see there's almost 20,000 members here, and yet it is inactive as hell. Are most of them leechers for CAWs or what? Maybe you should impliment a minimum post count to see the CAW sections for each game if that's the case. This place is pretty cool, but there's only like 10 of us that post on here it seems Quote
The Smackethdown Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 yep, most them are leechers for CAWS. Quote
Aero Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 or old members etc over the years, or ppl don/subrick etc have scared off, ppl who've had to be banned blah blah blah Quote
D.A.R.S. Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 Damn...should try and make a new user group that can view CAWs, give people some more reason to post...They have to haha. But on a serious note this thread for instance..61 views and 3 replies? For the CAW threads it's even worse. You'll get 200+ views and 0 replies. That's ridiculous, gotta stop the leechers! Quote
Aero Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 theres a few different ways to view this, but here is the mean reasons why we allow whats goin on. 1. other sites allow leechers, if we dont, they'll just go there. every so often a leecher becomes a poster so is it worth it in the lon g run? 2. more trafic means more ppl might click adds which keep the site running 3. ppl are annoying. for a while we did have a great solution to this AND a similar technique for stoping "new members" posting links that where clearly spam, it worked GREAT except for all the new members who, rather than create a few posts, went straight to PMing smacktalks, me, HB... even a few normal members to complain. 4. finally when you do require members to have so many posts before viewing things, you get flooded with shitty pointless posts like "cool" "" "i have a fish" etc. so whilst i fully appreciate your attempt to improve the board with this topic, we've spent a forever looking into it and well, this is the easiest way for every1 really, shit as it is Quote
Fozy Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 why have a board. lets just twitter to each other. Quote
jitz Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 About 15,000 of the members log on to read all my posts and then leave. I'm an integral part of their daily internet routine. Quote

Big Daddy Dawg Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 why dont someone make a book of caws, and sell it kinda like they do with strategy guides, the prima book of caws then ya can chat about whats important, booze, wrestling, and women Quote
Aero Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 theres probably some legal thing in there, you make a caw of ultimate warrior for example, give it out free, every1s happy. you try to sell it.... LAWSUIT! Quote
Nemo Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 yeah, warrior isnt a fan of caws. at all. on a related note, a caw guide probably wouldnt violate any trademark laws (see warrior, ultimate) but youd probably be liable to the creators themselves, which means you're gonna have to track down ilovetits29234 and get his permission and information down so you can pay him royalties for his mae young caw. a lot of work for something that probably wouldnt make too much money to begin with. Aero Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 theres bound to be a few CAWs that infringe on likeness's andcopyright tho i'd imagine. Quote
Big Daddy Dawg Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 those dadgum blasted leechers, hang em all!!! Quote
