Heart Breaker Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 With the demise of my favorite band, +44, it looks like we're one step closer to a Blink-182 reunion. In a press release today, it was announced that Mark, Tom, and Travis will all be sharing a stage together for the first time since 2004 as presenters at the 51st annual Grammy Awards. If this is not a sign of a reunion in the works, I don't know what is. Long-suffering Blink-182 fans, your prayers have been answered. Or, at least, taken a step toward being answered. On Thursday (February 5), the Recording Academy announced that Blink-182 will reunite at Sunday's 51st Annual Grammy Awards ... as presenters. It will mark the first time that all three members of Blink Quote
Smacktalks Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Awesome! I actually never thought i'd see them get back together. Hopefully this is the starting point. Quote
Nemo Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 blink-182 sucks. eloquent and succinct. that's my style. Quote
Aero Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 OMG they are presenting an award together WOOOOOOO!!!! i'm creaming in my pants! meh, i really only liked enima of the state and it now feels dated to me Quote
Heart Breaker Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 I've followed blink for as long as I can remember. I've also followed all their side projects (+44, Angels and Airwaves, etc.) and their music keeps evolving with the times. They've also matured with the times which is refreshing considering I'm 21 years old now. I'd be very interested to see what music they'd create if they got back together. Quote

Heart Breaker Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 Well, rumors are going crazy right now. Multiple sources in the music industry have stated that Blink is already in the studio. Even David Kennedy, guitarist of Tom Delonge's other band Angels and Airwaves, reports that Blink is back in the studio recording. But with no official comment from Mark, Tom, or Travis, I feel no need to post any of it. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Quote
Heart Breaker Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 Looks like MTV finally caught on to what I was talking about in the Grammys discussion. On Thursday, Blink-182 fans rejoiced when it was announced that the long-dormant band would be reuniting as presenters at Sunday's Grammy Awards. While it's not clear if Blink will be doing anything more than presenting an award, it does appear that there may be more to come from the band. At least that's what a member of a Blink offshoot band Quote
Aero Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 he's lying, he wants more hype about the whole thing so that A&A's new album gets more press coverage Quote
Heart Breaker Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Was just about to post that. So yeah, I'm stoked. Quote

Aero Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 thats a pretty gay and pointless interview Quote
Heart Breaker Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Your face is pretty gay and pointless. But yeah, posted the interview, because I (and maybe others) were curious as to why Travis' arm was in a sling at the Grammys. Yeah. Suck it. Quote
crunk Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I wonder what their new stuff will sound like... hopefully not some hybrid plus 44 and a&a mashup.. Quote
System of a Daan Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I have to agree with Aero on this one... Quote
Aero Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 cheers. im not against B182 reforming, but that interview was cock, i'd feel cheated if i watched ans aerosmith interview and tha twas the shit that resulted. Quote
