Smacktalks Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Has the UK came to a stand still because of the snow or something? I ended up phoning in sick for work due to problems with the metros running in the snow, even though it's not too bad here, although it has now started coming down heavier. So, how's it where you are? Quote
Jonny Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 The sun is splitting the trees here. Not a flake of snow. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Ireland is dry. Loads of snow here. Quote

Aero Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 just sort of starting over here, as a result, ppl become overcautious and drive TOO slow. when my speedometer doesnt move, its too slow. also, i just noticed something weird, if any of you's are driving in snow later or live by a busy road, watch the others cars and tell me if its a wider spread thing or not but - you know how if ur driving and it gets a bit dark, you've mayb forgot to put on ur lights because you can still see? yeah, well in the snow, you kinda need to turn them on for others to see you correct? well apparently every1 figured this out EXCEPT silver cars..... and they are 1 of the harder colours to see when its snowing. swear to god, red car infront of me had them off but turned them on, other than that, in the 4 miles i have to drive home 5 silver cars went passed, no lights, and they were barely visible til they got close Quote
Smacktalks Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Well, the rain seems to have killed most of the snow here. Although we should be getting the full whack of snow that London had today, tonight. Quote
scoot Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 where i am in Sheffield, its about 3 inch thick. its not as bad in some other areas, but we have a good covering. Quote
bigpoppn Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 It has now stopped snowing and it started raining, causing the snow to become a brown, wet puddle. Quote
Smacktalks Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Still raining here, I was hoping the snow would continue and i'd have another reason to phone in sick tomorrow Quote
Aero Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 i live on a main road to my work, even if it does snow like a bastard here tonight i fear i will have to traverse into work all the same haha Quote
jitz Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Care to share some snow? We hada record breaking heat wave of days over 40 degrees, that lasted from Tuesday to Sunday, now it's dropped down to 38-39 for this week. We could use some rain too. Quote
CrossFan Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 It's snowing here as well, and I live in Tennessee. We never get snow! Quote

Hahaha I saw that on the news, that sucks man. I think the heat might have scared all your jellyfish up here but.. the whole east queensland coast is littered with them Those little fuckers hurt. Smacktalks Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 I heard that there was loads of rain in Australia, causing the streets to flood and the government to issue warnings that Aligators/Crocodiles may be in the street. Anywhere near you Jitz? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/7868854.stm Quote
crunk Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Hahahaha shit hey. Jitz lives down south, in a world ruled by sharks, mobsters and AFL. That stuff is happening up north, where crocs and other deadly animals like to live. I live in the middle, on the coast... You know what - I'm actually starting to think those jellyfish aren't so bad after all. Quote
Smacktalks Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 Yeah, i'd take a jelly fish sting over a crocadile bite any day. Quote
Joe =/ Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I picked up a jellyfish when I was younger not knowing what it was, and I didn't get stung. :eek Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 And your mother has since gone mad on new ways to get you out of the way. Quote
phil Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Yeah, i'd take a jelly fish sting over a crocadile bite any day. Box jellyfish sting = Near-instant death, Paul. Wrestling crocs is good exercise. Quote
Joe =/ Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I bet Matt Gray could wrestle a croc and win Quote
