Smacktalks Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 We were by far the better team! ...for the first 5-10 minutes. Hats off to Liverpool, they played the best i've seen them over the last week, but you've still left it too late for the league. Quote
Aero Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 i dunno, we'll see how other teams react, ur defence was shit, thats bound to inspire a few teams to think "you know what, lets just attack them more" most of the focus is on liverpool & utd now, but i'd keep an eye on chelski myself Quote
Trips Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Damn, thats United's first loss in 5 months. THE TITLE RACE IS BACK ON! Quote
Aero Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 yes, 1 loss in 5 months clearly means they'll not lose for another 5..... if ur basing it soley on loses, sure u guys have lost 3 and liverpool have only lost 2... ...means bugger all dude. its not quite back on yet til utd slip up again. but the key factor is that if utd had won that match, it was pretty much over. Trips Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 It's over anyway, why cant you see that? You are not consistant enough. Even if we do slip up, you have to keep winning. You cant be beating us and losing to Boro. Boro, who are going to get relagated if they are not careful. You look at our losses, Liverpool twice and Arsenal. Both Top 4 teams. Yours were against Boro, a bottom 15 side, and Tottenham in November, before the transfer window even opened when they were shitter than they are now with no Redknapp, a mid-table team. Then you draw against Stoke (twice), Fulham, West Ham and Hull. This is not good enough. You have to win these games. Then you look at us, we drew against Tottenham sure, but this was Redknapp's first game in charge in which the team is bound to play better. We didn't convincingly beat Stoke, but we managed to grind out a 1-0 result against them, we did the same with Boro. This is what wins you the league, you are just not consistant enough. Chelsea are the threat anyway, new manager, one of the best midfielders in the world back to full fitness and scoring (Essien). Quote
Aero Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 but, and like i said, it depends on utd fucking up again soon... sat's result (+ tuesdays) will possibly spur liverpool on, and also might do something to man utds mentality, probably not, but who knows it is called "the beautiful game", why? anything can happen. im doubtful myself, its been so long since we won the league i just dont see it ever happening Quote
LegendKiller74 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Yeah the title race is definitely back on IMO. I think the international break has come at a bad time for liverpool though. Just as they started to get on a roll. And Utd could probably do with the break to try to figure out what the hell has happened recently. Fulham FULLY deserved that win at the weekend. Quote
Aero Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 on the flip side. it gives villa the rest they need, utd will still be without roony, scholes and vidic and fulham will have come down off that high from beatin utd so we might be ok, i just pray our 2 key players come home unscathed lol. im so fucking happy we can compete on goal difference too now if it comes down to it Quote
Ste-Rulez Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 Damn i thought United had blown it vs Villa, all i hope for now is the City woop there asses Quote
