last year, i bought the iphone 3G, PAYG, at the time i only sent around 200 texts or so, i just decided not being tied into the monthly contract was the best for me as my job wasn't looking all that secure at the time. anyway, point is, im using a lot more texts and the odd phone call here and there, and averaging

If the iPhone isn't network locked to a competitor's network, then yes. Most PAYG phones are network locked, and the network charges to unlock it. Or there' might be a solution to that issue on the internet using more underhanded methods.

great, well id be using the same network, so i can only imagine that it would work pretty much off the bat

ffs ur a fool, get a sim only contract, they offer the same tariffs only cheaper as you dont take a phone, you are also not tied to 18months, its a month by month rolling contract, this way if its too expensive you can pull out.

on the flip side you can upgrade it to an 18month contract at any time to get a phone if you need to.... the point in this? rather than having a backup phone that sits til it runs out of warranty, wait until you NEED a new phone, then you'll get a more uptodate phone with a full warranty to boot ;) also SAVES you money in the short run

the only down fall? you may be phoneless for a day or 2 if ur phone does die or whatever.. ur bound to no sum1 who'd lend u 1 for a while tho

if its not an iphone contract you won't get the 3g paid for.

"the 3g" you mean the free internet.... like i said, you get the CHOICE of a free bolt on, such as unlimited texts OR interent... this is also why i stated more bolt ons can be purchased

why did you buy a pay as you go iphone, thats just totally stupid.
