How Do You Control Hornswoggle's Appearance?

OK, so I just unlocked Hornswoggle and u can add him as a manager. But, how the hell do u control his cut-scene appearances (shown in the video below). I kept pressing R3, L3, and even Select and the little guy didn't even show up to hand me a weapon. Please tell me. Thanks. :)

Well on xbox 360 it's (RB) and down or up On D-Pad.

I've read it's R1 + taunt button.

Only give you a weapon that's it.
