seanironmaiden Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 ok.. so the response to the game is pretty much positive but I'm gona start this thread so we can get a picture of the little things that kinda suck in the game. things that reviewers may not pick up on cos they're not as into the game as longterm fans have been... ok, so firstly... I'll get the ball rolling with the fact that I've just discoveed that they've not given Jericho his Wall Of Jericho on top of the ladder move.... what the hell? this has been in the series since what? here comes the pain? how many years ago is that? ok, well it's been out of last years version but so was jericho so i dont see why they couldnt put it back in Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I didn't realise they'd taken that out, is it available in the edit-a-moveset options? I'm pretty annoyed that you cant turn off the out of ring camera angles, as you cant even see where people are when they move out of view. I probably wouldn't mind it as much if they'd have made the angle slightly higher, but it's as if the camera is on the floor. Quote
theundertaker Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 why the f-in hell does my tag team partner NEVER break up a pin. it was me and rey vs miz, morrison and khali and i got pinned, rey runs in and just stands there as he gets the 3 count. wtf? Quote
r-ratedsupastar Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 change difficulty? easy - med AI is dumb but understandable. Quote
XxTool7723xX Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 i think the perfect balance is on hard. the AI is f'n retarded on easy and medium and wont break up pins in tag matches often enough. legend difficulty is almost too much, as they essentially turn tag matches into 30 minute pain-in-the-asses. seanironmaiden Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 oh dear people.. it would seem The Highlight Reel CANT BE USED with matches involving CAWS!!!!! lame... either that or you cant in an extreme rules match ( which is what im playin at the minute ). will try caw in normal match later but it's not lookin good... phil Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I heard from a friend of mine that the Create-A-Finisher mode isn't in the Wii version. Is this true? Quote
ALL STAR Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Caws work in the highlight reel tried it when i first got it, but your right you cant use it in an extreme rules match for some odd reason? Quote
bigpoppn Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 You could do the Walls Of Jericho on a ladder? WTF? Quote
seanironmaiden Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 ye, it was in it for a good few years. aswell as a Swanton Bomb move off the ladder and a sunset flip powerbomb. all were grapple moves from the top of the ladder. the swanton move animation was pushing them off.. climbing to the very top doing the jeff taunt and a swanton that connected perfectly everytime. sucks how its gone. on a sidenote, WWE Raw 2 for the XBOX had tons of cool ladder moves such as a chokeslam off the ladder. it even worked off the ladder through tables. the table physics were pretty amazing in that game and you could do pretty much any grapple move from beside the table and if it looked like it could put them through the table.. you could... SmackDown Rulez Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 It's annoying that you can't delete the abilities you have on your superstar. Because I don't want my superstar to have dirty pin so every time I have to face someone with that ability, I have to make sure I don't get a 5 star rating on that match. I also have KO and Hammer Throw on my superstar's abilities and I don't want them at all!!! The ones I want are Springboard, Ladder Match, Outside Dives (Which I already have), Move Theft, Object Specialist, and Resiliancy. I already use up 4 slots of my abilities. And if I get dirty pin as one of them, I have to choose to get Springboard or Ladder Match. So yea, it's annoying that you can't delete your abilities. Quote

seanironmaiden Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 ye, it sucks... aw.. I remember one particular spot I set up being amazing.... I had tons of tables piled outside the ring at the corner of the barrier.. behind the steel steps... One of the cool moves in that game was a grapple to an opponent who is on the top rope.. and in this case.. facing away from the ring. you basically just give their ass an almighty shove and send them flying high into the air and out of the ring.. Well I did this move, sending Christian, i think it was off the turnbuckle.. through the air and.. chrashing through every one of the tables which actually stay shattered in pieces on the ground if i remember correctly. it was kick ass... like somehtin out of a WM TLC match. anyway.. back to 09.. fricken sucks how you STILL cant use a CAW with ANY design/logos whatsoever in online mode.... really bad form cos im stuck between making really amazing caws that i can use on my own xbox only or lesser quality ones so i can use them on live Quote
CrossFan Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Regarding CAW abilities: With the new patch coming in January it seems after you complete career mode once with a created wrestler you'll be able to choose your abilities. Of course I don't have the game yet so don't take my word on it. Quote
