WWE SvR 2009 Demo Out Now at GameStop!

I am indestructible2010 from IGN. I just got the SVR09 demo today from GameStop. Like, literally just got it about 20 minutes ago.

General info

- Hardyz and DX are the playable characters. HBK has a 94 overall.

- Only available modes are singles and tag team matches.

- The game feels a lot better this year than last year. The difference between 30 fps(08) and 60 fps(09) is truly shocking.

- The graphics look a lot more polished and vibrant than last year.

- I have not played the tag match yet.

- Only the RAW arena is available in the demo.

- HHH is WWE Champion in the demo, but can not defend the title and does not come out with the belt.

Ok, I had the chance to play the demo for Smackdown vs RAW 2009 for a couple of hours, since I got off work earlier & picked it up. These are some of the new or improved things I notice, if I found out more later on I'll tell you.

-You CAN turn the entrances on/off before the match without having to access the options menu, just tap up/down in the d-pad

-Jeff's entrance has been slightliy improved/updated in his on-ring animations & he has the red sparkles at the end of his fireworks

-The Hardy's & DX have their respective tag team celebrations

-The commentary is better than what I expected, they really string the moves you do on their commentary

-The number display looks pretty good, if you decide to turn it on

-The screen lightly rumbles when you do a signature move & most of the times it has a different camera angle

-Matt Hardy has his signature legdrop as a corner move (just like Ashley's elbow in 08)

-HBK's signature elbow looks pretty cool

- Matt's second finisher is a corner TOF similar to Randy's corner RKO

-There's a re-animated backdrop from the front grapple

-There's a new plancha w/pin to a downed opponent, it's done when grappling an opponent who's lying groggy on the ropes

-The corner springboards first seen in the video with Rey Mysterio vs The Miz are not a reversal, they can be done by running to the corner a pressing the square button. Also you can hit a downed or a standing opponenet. For example Jeff has the Whisper in the wind.

-For what i've seen thus far in the demo, all superstars on it are able to do the corner-to-turnbuckle climbing that Highflyers had in 08 to do diving attacks to a downed opponent

-Re-animated Rey Mysterio springboard legdrop

-Re-animated hanging neckbreaker to a cornered opponent

-The CPU partner fights pretty good when you tag him in, better than some human partners

-The arguing w/ the ref animations look great, your guy gets more & more frustrated after multiple pin attemps & the ref even speaks to you

-Slightly improved diving missile dropkick

-Corner atacks can only be done to a certain amount, for example, you can only do 5 straight chops & only 10 mounted punches

-You don't get penalize (at least I didn't noticed) for doing outside to inside grapple, for example, feet pulling or the guillotine

- My only complaint thus far is the outside camera angle, I really disliked it, sometimes you even loose track of your opponent & when you do, let's say a pedigree onto the announcers table, you can barely see it

-He has new theme

-Pretty much the same entrance

-Same Attire (yes, same wristbands, dont complain)

-He has shorter hair

-Finishers are Same Swanton, and the Extreme Twist of Fate (the one he doesnt do....)

-Sig. Moves are Whisper in the Wind, and that move he does when they are sitting in the corner and he flys into the air, comes back down and kicks the person in the face

-He has a default winning motion (hhh and hbk have their own)

-Overall = 89

-New Whisper in Wind (run at turnbuckle and press square)

Matt:

-Same Attire

-Same entrance

-Finishers are Same Twist of Fate, and a Super RKO which is meant to be a TOF

-Sig. Moves sre Side Effect and Leg Drop

-Overall = 87

-Has winning motion but Jeff doesnt?

HBK:

-Same entrance

-Same Attire and everything, except he has facial hair

-Finishers are Pinning SCM, and Figure Four thing (which isnt a submission)

-Sig Moves are Flying Forearm and Elbow Drop

-Has a winning motion

-Has a new taunt

-Overall = 94

Other:

-DX and Hardys have same entrance as last year

-But DX has new scenes in titantron

-Hardys have the Swanton and TOF combo

-DX doesnt have SCM and Pedigree combo

-DX and Hardys both have winning motions

-The songs that were on the demo were: HHH, SD, ECW, RAW, HBK, Matt, Jeff, Hardy Boys, DX

-I liked the SVR08 menu better, but no big deal

-First person entrances (L2 and R2)

Yea, it's also available in Australia to download. I made both a UK and Australian account wishing that it would work if I would download it from their stores. Sadly, it didn't because it was in PAL format. I'll go to GameStop today though and get it.
