Originally, Beth burst onto the Raw scene in May 2006. Coming through the crowd, she attacked then-Women's Champion Mickie James. James was able to escape Phoenix and yelled "What are you doing here!?" as she left the ramp.

In the days to come, WWE fans would learn more about Beth Phoenix. Former Women's Champion Trish Stratus introduced Beth as an old friend of Mickie James, and insinuated that in the past, James had wronged her. Two weeks after Beth's first appearance, Stratus officially introduced her as the newest Raw Diva. Beth then welcomed herself to Raw by once again attacking Mickie James from behind, chasing her through the crowd and out of the arena. The following week, Beth made her in-ring debut, teaming with Torrie Wilson to defeat Candice & Victoria as James looked on from outside the ring.

However, in her first solo match against Victoria, Phoenix suffered the injury that would keep her sidelined for over a year. After suffering a fractured mandible, she had a titanium plate inserted in her jaw the next day.

Upon her return, the relentless Phoenix proved that her newly acquired titanium jaw had only fueled her hunger for gold. As the "Glamazon," Phoenix came to dominate Raw with her considerable size and strength advantage. She leveraged that advantage heavily, and quickly drew a bead on the reigning Women's Champion at the time, Candice. After a couple of losses, Phoenix managed to blunt Candice's speed and agility to capture the Women's Championship in October 2007.

NOTES: OK, I really hate the "custom" attires THQ gives to the divas. Just look at Michelle McCool last year and Ashley Massaro. That was total shit. Now, this year, wtf is that Beth Phoenix is wearing? I know I have never seen her wear that attire ever. She wears long tights with a revealing center and that's all. The entrance was pretty damn slow when she approaches the ropes. She didn't even do her taunt at all in the entrance. So, pretty much, they already need to improve on her. If u ask me, isn't her overall a little low too? lol. 79? I would probably boost it up to about 84.

Holy fucking shit that video is awful. Notice how bad the animation is of beth throwing that caw out of the ring.

ROFL.

I bet THQ love how IGN just showcased the same flaws with the height and poisition detection that has been around since SD1.

The attire is quite a joke as are the finishers and entrance. Beth's shoulders could be a teeny bit wider and her face looks too similar to Steph's.

She also doesn't do her taunt of raising her hands with or without the title on the stage or on the turnbuckle.

And what the fuck are those finishers? All in all, rubbish. One step forward and two steps back.

79 is insanely high for a women's wrestler, if i recall correctly i think trish has something in the high 60's in SVR 07

She should have that face buster and fishermans suplex.... And the hand taunt. I would have used her more if she had the black attire too.

Yeah, her wheelbarrow facebuster is a pretty devastating move yet they ignore it and her delayed fisherman suplex in favor of a sitout soop slam piledriver / Michinoku driver II, a move she hasn't used since 2006.
