He's currently at Old Traford in talks with Fergie & Co, except there's no word to say Spurs have given United permission to speak to him or that they have accepted a United bid. So far they've said they HAVEN'T gave United permission to speak to him and they HAVE accepted a bid from City. Quote

Even if a player plays for your rivals but is a great talent, you should still want them in your team. I'd have Gerrard for United even though Liverpool are probably our biggest rivals. Not that he would ever agree to joining United... Quote
Aero Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 i think alot of ppl, seeing how most non utd supporters hate utd, see ronaldo as a wanker off the pitch, the whole "winker" thing, the transfer saga etc, mix that with the fact that he'll clearly only leave utd to go to spain, and the likes of city fans can get on their high horse and say they dont want him because he wont want to go there anyway. also paul, nice to see you are a true utd fan, still holding the old rivalry, hate ppl who say chelsea are their biggest rivals, both liverpool "fans" and utd "fans" alike! NO, its not true, we hate you the most, you hate us the most, it shall always be that way, even if 1 of us is ever in the conference league in 20 years time, will still be the same! Quote

All United fans know Liverpool are the biggest rivals, I think they refer to Chelsea more in terms of the main rivals to win the league, the same way they did when Arsenal were in the top two with us. I'd like to see Liverpool and United go head to head for the league title, that'd be a much better rivalry thoughout the season to Chelsea. I just find them really boring. Quote
