SvR 2009 Countdown 1: Santino Marella

It will forever be known as the "Milan Miracle." On the night of April 16, 2007 in Milan, Italy, Mr. McMahon issued a challenge to anyone in the audience to battle the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Umaga, in a title match. As expected, no one was itching to face the Samoan Bulldozer.

Marella, perched in the front row, not only volunteered, he also got off to a surprisingly quick start. Quick enough, in fact, that Mr. McMahon changed the bout to a No Holds Barred Match. Under those rules, it appeared as if Umaga would destroy Marella, but ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley intervened. After the ECW Champion nailed the Samoan Bulldozer with a chair and a vicious spear, he dragged Marella over and placed him on top of Umaga. The Italian became the new Intercontinental Champion in one of the most improbable moments in Raw history.

Notes: I'm really liking the "abilities" THQ has put for SvR 2009 intead of the lame fighting styles which way too limited. Santino's entrance could have been touched more. His game model looks pretty impressive for his in-game debut. The most distinctive feature by far is the back tattoo. They did a number on Santino. The only downfall I see is the missing of his blue entrance attire. Besides that, it looks pretty remarkable for something THQ has created.

This is epic, no doubt. However, I would replace one of the neckbreakers with a diving headbutt because he's used that move at least twice before.

And Joe, I don't think the Dirty Pin will be abused a lot, seeing as it probably won't be stronger than a normal pin.

The old arenas look really out of place compared to the new HD sets, dont really see the point in the wii entrance stuff. Really hope they do add attires as part of the dlc.
