bigpoppn Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 (edited) Oh fuck this, Liverpool just scored a goal in the last few minutes of the Extra Time. Anyone watched this? EDIT- Steven Gerrard is the biggest dick ever Plus, we didn't even get the extra minute. Edited August 27, 2008 by bigpoppn Quote
Aero Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 lmao i know. god that match was terrible. btw, poppn, why is gerrard the biggest dick ever? the guy who, of his own accord stayed half an hour late in the 1st leg to sign autographs etc for the mass amount of standard fans that hung about? i'm not gonna herald him as god or anything, but really want to hear your arguement for "biggest dick".... or did you stay behind at the 1st leg and see his dick? :S Quote
Trips Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 He's the biggest dick of all time for staying at Liverpool. At a club like Barcelona, Madrid or Milan (Obv he could never come to United), basically a club where he would be surround by quality, he would probably be heralded as the best Central Midfielder in the world. Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Liverpool can hold him back, but I think that's probably the reason he shines in the Liverpool team. I'd be interesting to see how well he would do in a team like you mentioned, considering his performances for England never reach the standards he sets with Liverpool. Quote
bigpoppn Posted August 29, 2008 Author Posted August 29, 2008 Aero, it's not that he's really a big dick, or has one or so, but pretending like you're 'injured' in the last two minutes of extra time isn't fun at all, especially when Standard playing a great match.Anyhow, we're in the UEFA cup now, so that should be intresting too. We're playing Everton sometime this week I think. Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Judging by your performance against Liverpool, I think you may beat Everton. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Imagine him pretending he is injured, in the final minute of a Cup final in which Liverpool is losing 3-2, the opposing team kicks the ball out in good faith so he can be tended to, Liverpool don't return the ball to the opposing team, past it to Steven Gerrard who smacks the ball (with the leg supposedly injured), thirty yards into the goal, with what he calls a "complete fluke". I'm not bitter. Quote
Aero Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 lmao good times. theres atleast 1 player like that in every team, hell big phil has insisted that chelsea will cheat to win matches so i'd say they'll be most guilty of it this year. Quote
bigpoppn Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 Paul, I don't know Everton, or how they play so I can't really comment on that. But the way we played against Liverpool, we might stand a chance. Quote
Aero Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 there is 2 premiership teams from liverpool, 1 is liverpool, the other is everton, the stadiums are seperated by a big park, thats how close they are, so standard being put up against everton, after just playin liverpool is pretty weird. liverpool would normally be deemed the better of the 2... but this season? im not so sure lmao Quote
bigpoppn Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 So they're run by the same ppl but the players are different or something?Confusing... Quote
Aero Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 noooooo 2 different teams in the same league, they just happen to be situated beside each other... theydont like each other much either! Quote
bigpoppn Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 Oh, that's them? They're separated only by one street and a big pitch (like you said).I saw something about them on a program about hooligans or something, not sure tho.But if Standard keeps playing like that, they might as well beat them, but I'm not putting a lot of hope behind them, because Belgian teams aren't that succesful in European football. Quote
bigpoppn Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 lmao I hope this won't become like the Olympics. We won three games or so, got into the Semi-Finals and the papers were talking about a huge stunt and the other countries finally respecting us as a football country. And then we lost to Nigeria. Quote
bigpoppn Posted August 31, 2008 Author Posted August 31, 2008 Yeah, now I know lol. But our team was pretty good too, and I never saw them play, so I thought it was an easy win lmao Quote
