Smacktalks Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 So the Losties have to save the Dharma Initiative? Quote
jitz Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 This whole time travel thing really has come out of left field, even for a series that's prided itself on shit coming out of left field. I don't have a problem with it, I still think they're telling a good story, but come on, could that alienate their already dwinddling audience anymore? People signed up to watch stranded people on an island, then they got weird shit happening, then they got essentially a living island, and now time travel (although the time travel started with Desmond, this goes beyond that). I can't wait for the explanation of it all. Either this will be the most genius show to ever hit TV screens, or it'll end up being the most disjointed, cobbled together show that never found any narrative direction. Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 Here's a much better quality version. I know what you mean Chris, hopefully it'll be the first option though. The show has changed in terms of the plot so much since season one, whilst also keeping the main plot of getting off the island as the focus. I think that's the main reason it's kept me entertained as much as it has, usually i'll get sick of the same thing over and over. Yet in the past season, the whole introduction of time travelling made it far more interesting. Now with the video also mentioning it and trying to now change the past, it's even more of a must see show, if only to see how they manage to pull it off and tie everything together. The voice of the cameraman in the video was Daniel? It sounded like him when he first spoke, but I wasn't entirely sure the second time you hear him speak. I guess it would make sense though if he's now in the past with Dharma, as it explains why he needs a constant (When he had Desmond wrote in his book). As he was in the middle of the ocean when the island was moved, pherhaps this caused him and pherhaps Jin to time travel but on a seperate bearing to the island, placing him in the past. Also the creators said at Comic-Con his book would come into play more in the next season, which could mean Dharma shows him how to create the time travel experiment he made, I know this would cause a paradox, but so would it if they actually managed to change the past and save Dharma. You also heard a baby cry in the video, but I cant see it being Aron as he is off the island. Quote
Aero Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 jin & suns baby? i'm guessing they are gonna go with the island moving in time more so than moving in location if that makes sense when does season 5 start? Quote
